Maybe it's not about dieting maybe he has thyroid problems. My classmate was just like Iam and he had thyroid problems. So the summer before we graduated 🎓 he had surgery done. When we saw him we didn't even recognize him. He looked so good and healthy and he had so much confidence in himself. By the way I'm also from Hawaii, born and raised there. Now I live in P.A. and I still stay in touch with him and he's still doing great. He also still live in our little town of Kohala, Hawaii.

I think all the singers on American Idol 2023 were awesome all of them.

They had some great overall talent. There was something for everyone, country, rock, broadway, R&B, ballads, folk rock, pop, alternative rock. My favorite performance of the whole show was Wei Ani singing Edge of Seventeen by Stevie Nicks. But that is one of my favorite all time songs.

Wei Ani was the best most powerful and best controlled voice of all of them, tons of talent there but Wei is on a level of her own.

American Idol 2023, to me is the best ldol l've seen. They all are great singers.. l've have seen all the ldols song more than one song, but what happened to Cam Amen? I only see him only when audition.

34:09 Wish I had more recordings of the people I’ve loved and lost 🙂💜 like that. There’s something to be said for putting your phone down and being in the moment ~ but also to record good moments. The sound of your favourite peoples’ voices and the way they laugh. I hope everyone out there who is grieving, finds comfort and peace.

Thank you for that beautiful comment. Your absolutely right about putting our phones down and record some memorable moments and music. I came from a musical 🎶 family and I was very young but I would have loved to record all of them. My oldest brother playing the guitar 🎸, my other brother playing the ukulele and my youngest brother playing the bongos while my sister did the singing 🎶. How I wish I could have them on tapes, but the one thing I have is the memories. Now it's just me and my younger brother in the boys. By the way I'm from Hawaii so as I got older I sang and danced the hula.

What a spectacular lineup of, not just excellent but, out of this world singing talent. There's easily 8 to 10 acts that could have won any of the past editions of American Idol!!! While the singers are truly fabulous I have to criticize something else about American Idol that was started 20 plus years ago by Simon Cowell and is still going on: the fact that the backstory of the artists continues to be as, if not more, important than the singing abilities themselves... That's right, unless you have gone thru some heartbreaking experiences you can't win despite how good your voice is. If you don't have a close relative or friend die, preferably much earlier than they should have or have suffered from a life threatening disease like cancer or come from the poorest family where you had to care for 6 or 7 younger siblings...don't bother to try to win American Idol cuz you won't stand a chance to do that without heart wrenching personal circumstances. Don't get me wrong, I do love Iam Tongi, he's a great talent indeed but...there were easily 3 or 4 much greater talents. Nutsa was the most outstanding voice I've heard in a while and Wei Ani and Soli were also a cut above Iam. Unfortunately for them they lacked, not talent, but a dramatic live event to match his. My question is: Why are we valuing more heartbreak than vocals in what's supposed to be a singing competition??? There's a second issue: I feel the judges were very biased in Iam's favor and their demeanor and actions were unfair to everyone else and may have affected the outcome of the contest. During most of Iam's performances they praised him loudly enough for everyone to see and hear it which could have swayed many people to favor him.

My favorite is Megan and her voice is so beautiful and unique. Good luck!💎

The best solo tonal variation male singer performance Michael Williams. Best male singer overall Zachariah Smith. Best solo female performance Wei Ani and best female singer overall with so much powerful tonal variants with a world class performance goes to Nutsa. Though we all know all these shows aren't about the best singer they're all just guinea pigs to make money money money from no matter who really is the best singer. Iam Tongi although having a lovely tone was in my view nowhere near the best male, not much variations in his voice to be outstanding enough.

Olivia Soli was the Idol of the year, no one else was even close to her, judges like always eliminated her cause of the jealousy of her talent and how far she could go in music industry with that vocal, shame on them, I could listen to that vocal all day long she was "The Voice" of the year

Ian Tongi wasn’t near the best singer in comparison to other, but American loved him the most and his story hit home for a lot of people.

Whoever decided that these are some of the BEST performances needs a new dictionary. They also should be fired. With only a couple of exceptions. These are some of the worst performances I have ever seen.
