    I wish they would focus on the bad perks and be like why do these suck. Not…everyone is using these perks because of game design so let’s nerf into the ground lol

    "Game design" is "completely overtuned perk", BHVR made a perk that regresses 90 seconds of generator progress by simply hooking all 4 survivors and people want to pretend like it's fine. All the nerfs were warranted, there's a fair few balanced slowdown perks that exist that nobody picks because pop pain res corrupt grim embrace is such a brainless combo

Call of brine is trash, overcharge is trash, undone is trash, oppression is trash, ruin has moments but can be cleansed which makes it inconsistent. We need to drop this notion that doodoo perks will magically become good when meta perks are nerfed

    @@cheeseballs4551 Overcharge can be aight if you're around to pressure them, ruin, surge, pentimento are all good. Bad perks don't need to be good from nerfs, good perks just need to be less oppressive

    12:45, seeing this only makes me wish they didn't change Hangmans Trick even more, I loved that it made hooks respawn faster, and love that it made hooks always respawn even after a sacrifice :( I just want the old one back

    I'll say this everywhere, it would've been way better if they made scamper take slightly longer than essentially deleting it from the game. Scampering with this update would be not only ineffective, but straight up detrimental, to do at like 95% of pallets. Or, just make a delay to where Chucky can't slice'n'dice within 1-2 seconds after scampering. But now scampering won't even be used unless a survivor just holds W lol

    I'm not a huge fan of Chucky, but maybe they should give him better turning after a Scamper while Slice and Dicing. As it is, Scampering in Slice and Dice doesn't get a hit unless they're leaving the loop. If a Survivor vaults/drops a pallet and just turns at all, you won't hit them if you Scampered during a Slice and Dice

    Maybe they should make it so RIGHT after a scamper for like .5 seconds you have full sensitivity for your turn rate and they can just make it so you can’t scamper the same pallet or window twice in a row

    Yeah I think the developers overestimate that whole chaining a slice and dice into a scamper through a window thing. Smart survivors never get hit by that

    I admittedly am an average killer at best, so I very much feel the pain of a killer nerf. When I play survivor, I barely have to think because of how much less pressure it is to play in that role. A survivor buff only keeps me detached from the killer role, which at one point used to be enjoyable.

    Survivor is so brain dead easy lol. Just put on your windows of noobertunity and a insta Heal stay split up on gens and you'll win vast majority of the time unless someone suicides on 1st hook

    Idk, nerfing the only 2 functional gen regression perks is in my opinion a bad choice. Instead of nerfing the perks, make the other options actually viable. increase overcharges regression speed, buff ruin a little bit speed wise. Something other than constantly nerfing gen regression perks. It doesn't make a ton of sense to just keep nerfing things over and over and over again. It feels like behavior just hates that killers can even do damage to gens at all.

    Playing games where I have to do the same gen essentially 2 or 3 times in solo queue because my team mates go down quick and then my gen gets pop+pain res is absolute pain. I think the answer is in map and killer balancing to make 4 gen regression perks not necessary for weaker killers. Because 4 regressions on an A or S tier killer just isn’t fun to play against. That way gen regression perks are nice but aren’t necessary for killer wins.

    i agree with almost everything you said! the background player thing though, having it more often, and it is for 5 seconds makes it much better than sprint burst for saves. and high level sprint burst folks use it in chase typically. I think both will still have thier uses for sure.

    Killer power nerfed: I love it! Killer power buffed: I don't like it. Killer perk nerfed: I love it! Survivor perk buffed: I love it! This is why the game shouldn't be balanced around comp level killers who stomp every pub match and want more of a challenge. If you're going to judge going against pub players, you should do it from the point of view of the average pub killer as well.

    Not only that, in Chucky's nerf he didn't even considered the killer's point of view. He literally said "this is cool, i think i will like to play against him even more with this", nice, but how most of the people will think about playing AS Chucky? It's because of this and people like Otz that they keep ruining killer's experience. If they make every killer m1 only they might say "well this is... interesting, let's see how it goes"

You asked any survivor some time ago who they thought was the funniest killer to go against some of them would say Myers but most of them probably would say Billy (when he was nerfed). Myers being a m1 killer with slow progression to get his power and Billy that need to use his chainsaw while not having a good chainsaw at all.

    my guess is he is getting a rework. He is either a boring killer you never interact with or they are running cancer builds and are still no fun to play against

    There were other uses of background players, like planting a blast mine in the gen next to the hook, then making so much space within the 2 kick the killer takes on the gen.

    I like how the devs say the ability to activate pop isn't difficult lmao, how often at high MMR are you getting your first hook after at least 2 gens are done vs good survivor

    background player in combo with the sabo changes can be rediculous...silent sabo a nearby hook when player goes down, then sprint to next closest hook.

    Buckle up MFT combo sounds interesting, you quickly pick up someone, they zoom out of the area and you are still there with endurance and if you get hit you get the speed buff

    The change on Background Player is already unique identity. The idea is to aim for sabo saves with the new buffs opposed to having as much movement speed to get infront of the Killer and flashlight stun, 150% is less to get infront of them especially if theyre facing the least preferable direction for you, whereas 150% is enough to try to get to the nearby hook theyd be walking to and "meet halfway" in a sense.

    Ds buff was annoying for 1 reason "Basekit borrowed time" Which is perfectly fine by itself But these are how survivors have been using the new DS Killer: HOOKS SURVIVOR SURVIVOR: Unhooks hooked survivor. Unhooked survivor: body blocks using basekit borrowed time. Killer: hits to Unhooked survivor to go after the other survivor. (To avoid tunneling) Unhooked surv: runs to other survivor to body block again... Killer: downs the Unhooked survivor. Now the killer has to make 2 choices 1. Leave the Unhooked survivor and let Unhooked survivor use unbreakabill. Then Continue chasing a healthy survivor who now has alot of distance. Or 2. Eat a 5 sec DS and then try to outplay a dead hard at a pallet. (Which isn't fair because the killer wasn't trying g to tunnel) The issue for me is the the whole point of antitunneling perks or effects are being used against the killer vs trying to escape the killer.

    I just started playing again so keep that in mind but why can’t we have a buff for artist ? I’ve been doing challenges and one is to hit two survivors with ur birds but everytime I even get close to hitting them they already have their birds swarmed off and it seems nearly impossible

    Are you using all your birds? The less birds you use to swarm (hit) a survivor in the first place, the faster you can send a second wave of crows to actually do damage to them. I quite like it, personally. It rewards you for doing the harder thing.

    Not sure I really agree with you about bg player, I think the point of it is that you can be further away for the flashlight save initially so that game of chicken when the killer is trying to chase you off the body has a wider area. Yes you can do with sprint burst but you can't run back and forth from the body like you can with bg player

    I feel like the 5 seconds ds is different from how it was in the past because ppl have been trained to go down in safer places as opposed to just hopping in the nearest locker the way we used to.

    All well and good, but I hope we see bad or under-performing perks and add-ons addressed in the next patch. With how much content is in the game and how often they add to it, it's very easy for something to be good for one minute and then terrible for a long time.

    I dont think I like the sabo change. I dont want survivors getting the sabo in between hits with less than an alex's and the hacksaw addon.

    Getting Buckle up'd and having SB ready will probably be insanley fun to see. Really like the change they made there. The patch in general feels great, I just wish they had also buffed some more weak perks instead of the majority just being nerfs. That said, can't wait for the PTB! :)

    3:40 - Making the most used add-ons basekit seems to be the common trend in a lot of BHVR's recent Killer updates. It was common with buffs and, IMO, explains why Huntress got buffed when she didn't really need it. It was less about buffing her directly and more about spreading out her add-on diversity. Edit: Fixes an unfortunate typo where one instance of the word "buff" was a whole other b word

    That's a toolbox issue, not a survivor fixing gens issue. They should nerf toolboxes. Survivors on gens already got nerfed a couple years ago from 70 to 90 seconds

    @@dodang_9147 Tbh it should apply to both because you can't get away with picking up in front of killers face without endurance against specific killers, plus the timing has to be literally as soon as the killer downs the survivor for both to get away to safety reliably with only a speed boost. And also the sprint burst thing would likely be rare and require coordinated SWF to pull of consistently with sprint burst combo.

    BHVR wants to remove almost all gen block/ regress. But the thing they need to change is give more protection off hook “and” longer generator time or second survivor objective. For the killers that wanna try to win we have to sweat every game. Especially if you wanna remove camping/tunneling.

    I think BP is still gonna be viable over SB because you don't have to micro your exhaustion cooldown; there's less risk you'll pop it before you need to use it Also, in regards to nerfing slowdown/regression, I do wonder how much it will encourage people to start running anti chase perks like spirit fury and enduring

    2 completely dif perk uses. I 99 SB in chase and the updated hud makes it very easy to not really be caught out without it when u need it. The other one is for saving ppl when you're in a dif zip code

    They better up Chucky’s turn rate then, because this is gonna feel horrendous to use. Think about it, a survivor take a 90 degree turn left or right after you scamper, your not going to hit them unless it’s that god pallet on Lery’s in that long ass hallway.

    i think the bubba collision is terrible on certain maps, so i dont think its necesserily a "skill thing". they should probably just make it, so that objects have the hitboxes, that are accurate to their appearence.

    Yeah, Oh Tofu is way off this. Chucky is about to be dropped by most killer mains. When the other buffs are put in on top of the nerf, only highest tier killers will remain. M1kiilers about to die off and nerfed killers will fall off. When the game keeps getting balance so askew in favor of one side meta becomes the only alternative. It reduces options and makes killers less able to diversify. Swear it is going to get down to only like 3 killers played in top tiers.

    Encourages survivors to learn how to stun him in his power with a pallet. The skill ceiling for players has switched in a way. Kinda interesting and am looking forward to the Bubba changes for both sides

    Honestly, I agree with Tofu about the ds nerf. I think anti-tunnel perks should be strong. Like, I know some people try to abuse them, but most people really don't. I would even go so far as to say that borrowed time's old self protection effect should come back, but with a restriction, like it only works if the killer is within X meters of a hooked survivor for X amount of time while no other survivors are near. Make the range a bit more generous than the self unhook bar or something so that proxy camping can be dealt with more effectively, instead of just face camping

    I like the killer changes but I despise the perk changes like behavior needs to understand if they want people to be more interactive they need to stop taking away perks that lead to interactivity. When they decide to Nerf all the gen defense perks and then buff both sabo and gen Rush all that's going to do is encouraged Killers to slug and be very very cruel. Also side note on your Chucky thing by using a max slice and dice along with the add on that reduces your Hidey Ho cool down upon a successful slice and dice your max cool down is about 7 to 8 seconds I don't think the Chucky player isn't going to complain I think the people suddenly getting constantly stabbed out of nowhere is what's going to get it reverted

    Nerfing gen defense perks is ok with strong killers. But for the weaker killers that rely on gen defense, it's not good. Once again Behavior doesn't understand the fundamental issue is the power difference between killers. Buff the weaker killers, THEN you can look at nerfing gen defense perks because if the weaker killers get buffed, then killers won't need to feel like they have to run gen defense perks on the weaker killers like they do now

    i would love when they would buff the aim down sights for Deathslinger... i hate the slowmotion aim... it sucks and makes it way to hard to hit sh*t with him

    The good guy change WOULD be fun, if trying to hit people after SnD vaults weren’t isolated to specific spots. The SnD scamper was nothing more than just a meme, that can’t hit at almost any loop unless the person is so new it wouldn’t have mattered.

    @kingquan3826 Pop was 20% of current progress back in 6.1.0 and it was so bad, everyone stopped using it. Here's a figure for you; Pop originally took a flat 20s off of a gen. With the base 4.5s of on-kick regression, 30% Pop would do the same at 57% progress. 20% Pop? The gen needs to be at 86%. That is significant.

    The issue I have with the DS nerf is that it, again, doesn't address the anti-tunnel capacity required for stronger killers. Overall, my issue with DS is that SO many survivors treat it as a weapon instead of an anti tunnel as intended. And this comes from a surv main. Like, so many who run it will just charge the killer to get value. Part of the blame is on BHVR though, because performing a conspicuous action deactivates it for the rest of the game. That's a full minute where you can't do anything just in case you get tunnelled off second hook. That leaves the only option to run at the killer to waste their time. It needs to be made so it no longer deactivates for the rest of the game if an action is performed. Deactivate for the remainder of the time, yes, but not the game.

    I know this isn't really the argument most people go for, but I think Tofu actually has a survivor bias *because* he plays too much killer! I think he's just consistently been playing killer for years and years, and has built up skills and knowledge that most people don't even have the privilege or time to earn, and as such killer feels easy to him because he accounts for a bunch of things that he doesn't actually have to think about on a conscious level. So he thinks it's mind-numbingly easy when in actuality he's just really good and very experienced. He doesn't play survivor as much so it doesn't happen when he does, making survivor feel much more difficult than it actually is. That's why there seems to be a consistent thread of "If killer nerf, good. If survivor nerf, hurm... debatable," in his takes. But still, no. I'm warning y'all, as a community, that this Chucky change is going to make him effectively useless.

    The biggest changes DS needs are not the duration. Keep it at five for all I care. It shouldn't work if you hooked someone between the time that person got unhooked and when you pick them up, and it shouldn't work if you get in a locker. Anti-Tunneling perks shouldn't work if you aren't being tunneled. If the killer is hooking someone else, you aren't getting tunneled. And the natural counter to DS is to slug, so making it so that you cannot down someone and force their teammate to come get them is pointless extra power.

    The collision is mega trash on alot of the newer maps. They are reducing canibals collision because its easier than fixing all their janky collision

    I'm so relieved tofu isnt on the balancing team for this game. His insanely obvious survivor bias is painful to witness at times... stating that Grim Embrace is a "ridiculously strong" perk while simultaneously complaining about Background Player and DS nerfs and Bubba's frustrating collision problems being addressed is so unbelievably detached. He tends to view survivor perk nerfs through the lens of "oh well most survivors dont play at a level where these nerfs will be necessary" but he NEVER does that with killer perks. Grim Embrace is pretty strong at the absolute highest level of playing killer, yet he considers it "ridiculously strong" in a general sense since he didnt specify. This type of stuff is why this game is still nowhere near where it should be balance wise this far into its life cycle.

    true, omg i cant even watch this because it is SO detached... You know I HATE conspiracy theories HOWEVER i started believing that the matchmaking in north america somehow has different numbers and works differently than in other places because when I watch these people play I can not relate AT ALL, and I really try to avoid confirmation bias you know so I dont even compare to my own matches but even comparing to some streamers in Europe, the difference is MASSIVE, and im not even from Europe so im not trying to defend myself. Crazy stuff, I wish the matchmaking system were more open

    WOW! OKAY! I'm of two minds about the Chucky change. On the one hand, I get the appeal. There was a problem where scamper led to *nearly* unavoidable hits, before. There's also the fact that it did feel kind of antithetical to his power to turn it on, vault real quickly once, and then swing a basic... BUT! Especially considering he can't flick at all anymore, I am completely confident in saying that this change is going to effectively ruin him. Sure, your Slice & Dice will still help out in the open, when you don't need it, anyways, but an even remotely strong window or pallet and you're cooked. You can't turn hard enough to deal with a survivor just looping normally! *I should mention, however, that I am on console. This could be a significant factor*. So, no. Far from a perfect change. You say you'll enjoy playing against him so much more now, but this is the exact same change that's going to make everyone stop playing him in a week. Mark my words.

    I'm fine with gen regression nerfs aslong as they tweak gen speeds cause gen speeds are the reason why gen regression gets run gens fly so fast against a team with more than 1 brain cells

    While the killer changes are completely balanced, I think bhvr have lent too heavily into nerfing regression. If not monitored carefully they may make they game too heavily sided one way to the other (Not necessarily balanced)

    Ds is not anti tunnel it makes u unkillable u cant slug because ur lose pressure u cant pick because u lose pressure to it makes u unkillable off the record is a way more balanced perk

    Idc about anything else in the patch compared to Borgo being changed, I'm so glad that red is gone. Loading into matches on Borgo as red color blind person there's just way too much red competing to be seen and it's near impossible at times to keep track of survivors

    As much as I get annoyed when someone sabotages a hook in front of me, I still would rather see that than all survivors just sitting on generators. At least they are playing different and having fun and interacting with me more.

    Bubba shouldn’t be able to double hit you off of hook I know perks like dead hard or otr would be a problem but I think it’s unhealthy for a killer to almost instantly put you right back on the hook right after you got off of it
