I think Steven and my hubby are brothers from another mother! I made the Mississippi Chicken Sliders for Football Saturday. When he tasted them, he was as speechless as Steven. After a few, “Wows!” he finally said, “Make these again, PLEASE!” Winner, winner, chicken dinner, for sure.

As I mentioned once in another video, I always loved the vertebrae/bones whenever my mom made a meal using canned salmon. Totally edible; probably if you never grew up with eating them, you won’t appreciate them.

@lolacorinne right!! The bones in canned fish are perfectly edible, and should be because they're good for you! It's calcium, much needed! So guess people try to pull out the bones(very tedious)then spend money buy over the counter vitamins to try to get what they need!! I always liked eating them.

Mandy: Canned salmon has always contained bones. The skin, bones and liquid are all very good for you and contain calcium and phosphorus. My mother used to make salmon patties and everything was mixed together. It was no big deal. Sometimes, it’s a good idea to move outside your comfort zone.

New sub!! Love your recipes. I wanted to mention…when cooking with lemon you should always add it at the very end of cooking. Here’s why: The last bit of advice with cooking with lemon is true for both zest and juice. Don't add it too early to a dish - when it's still cooking and very hot. When introduced to too much heat for too long, lemon can easily turn bitter and even discolor other ingredients being cooked with it.

Mandy, I watch your videos often. I just watched one from 7 months ago and saw the struggle with Tony Chachere's name. I lived in northeast Louisiana for a long time. Everybody there said Sa shur ays. On their website, it says Sa shur ee. It really doesn't matter what you call it, just don't forget the Tony's! 😂

If you like the tuscan garlic chicken sauce, I make that same sauce recipe, but instead of having it over chicken, I add cooked ground italian sausage, the sun dried tomatoes, spinach, and cooked pasta to it all in one skillet. So good! I'm definitely going to try the salmon patties.

Well, I absolutely had to come back on this video to give you my review of the Tuscan Garlic Chicken recipe. All I can say is “OH …. MY….GOODNESS “. To say it was absolutely incredible would still be doing it a disservice. I’ve been cooking for my husband for 40 years. He’s been talking about that chicken since the day I made it. He has requested that I make that at least once a month. I have no problem with that. I make something different all the time. I like trying new things. There’s always the old standby favorites in the freezer like chicken parm, eggplant parm, bolognese, chili, etc., because when I do something, I always make extra. Why not do 2 extra and have a freezer meals because he likes them so much (and then I don’t have to cook everyday 😂). I made enough for 2 nights of this so he’s very excited for dinner. I will often do that so I don’t have to make a dinner every single day. It’s been back to the 2 of us for some time (except for my kitties and my freakishly large 150 lb Old English Sheepdog who eats twice what I do). I had been already been requested halfway through dinner last night that I make this at least once a month 😂. It doesn’t gonas far in my house as it would in other homes cuz my husband is 6”6 and 270. He eats a ton 😳😵‍💫, always has. At the end of the day, this was a winner winner chicken dinner. Thanks so much for the delicious recipe. Have a great weekend ❤!!!

Mandy, I always leave the bones in the canned salmon. They do crush in your hands, & I have never found a single one. I use cornmeal 2:1 (makes them so crunchy) to flour & all the other goodies fried in a skillet. YUM!!

I'm absolutely loving these top picks from July-September! The lemon chicken gnocchi was a hit in my household too - so flavorful! 😋 And oh my, those Mississippi chicken sliders are a must-try. I'm thinking of adding a dollop of spicy mayo for an extra kick! 🌶 Your videos always inspire me to get creative in the kitchen. Keep those amazing recipes coming! 👩‍🍳💕
