It's so well balanced; there are darker, more serious moments, but they don't bog the show down. It's never cynical and its almost defiantly campy in the best way.

TBH, I wasn’t sure I liked him at first because I couldn’t entirely tell whether they were going for “cool mysterious witty badass” or “comic relief you’re supposed to laugh at”. But upon realizing he’s definitely both - a silly, kooky guy who happens to *also* be a mysterious and dashing badass, knows and is proud of the latter part, and expects his cool factor to cover for how silly and in his own world he is - I have decided that I goddamn love him.

Hilarious! I love all Kit's sassy remarks, and especially all the Kit/Elora moments. And who doesn't love Boorman? 🤣

They BETTER give us more seasons. This show was delightful. Fun and engaging, with a good story, without taking itself too seriously. We definitely need more.

Love the show! It is hilarious and a light, easy show to watch. It showed me I needed this to balance out darker fantasy shows. Love all the characters on the quest and the cast is adorable! More seasons please!

oh yeah cmon we all know willow's director is part time standup comedian, lol this show was whole new definition of humor mixed with drama and classic got vibes.

Technically, the best of Willow Season 1 is all of Willow Season 1, but love this all the same.

I ABSOLUTELY loved and needed this. My first ever comfort shows after years and years of watching! Thank you for doing this.

Disney+ canceling this show was one thing but REMOVING IT from the service... What a slap in the face to not only the fans but also everyone involved in making it.

I genuinely don’t understand how someone wrote these lines and thought they should stay.

Ruby Cruz is so beautiful... Incredibly beautiful girl... I was starstruck when I saw her in that series.

i really hope disney pushes out those other 2 volumes teased at the end of episode 8. they seem to have a better track record in being committed to sequels and following through the given teasers, but these days you never know (especially with two of the main characters being in a wlw relationship)

It's a good thing this show didn't take itself too seriously, because Willow has been canceled.

Leprechaun Origins was already bad enough as it is, I don’t think we would ever need another bad Leprechaun movie.

Disney's treatment of this series has been exasperating! First, they announced that there would be no season two before they'd really given the series a chance to gain an audience. Then, inexplicably, they included it in the fifty or so titles that would simply be removed from the streaming site when Willow the series was barely six months old, and with no plan to market it even as a DVD series for purchase. In other words, they simply decided to disappear the new series as if it never existed. Meanwhile, they are still offering the original movie on their Disney+ site for streaming. The decisions regarding the series actually seem somehow punitive, as if they were resentful of Kasdan's, and fan's, insistence that the series continue. Is Willow the series a great work of art? No, of course not. But it is charming and quirky and compelling in all the ways that make for an enduring fan favorite, given time to grow in viewership. A scan through the inane offerings that continue on Disney+ makes the decision to completely remove viewer access to Willow all the more nonsensical.

I think it being a new series and all the writers and actors are getting money from it when it’s on a streaming platform, so with the strikes going on it’s cheaper to remove it and removing a large amount of shows might make people upset at the strikes (even though people should be upset at the streaming service). I hope after the negotiations are done some of the shows will return to streaming platforms and possibly also be renewed.

I adore this series! It's hilarious and fun and light and full of heart and joy. Hopefully there will be Season 2.

@Ainkelate92 at the end of the final episode, after the long list of the show’s cast and crew, they show a scene of closing one book which represents the end of the first season. Then the “book” is placed back on the shelf with two other books next to it that are marked “2” and “3,” which means 3 seasons total.

We must have a second season. I don’t care if it’s Disney or CWs but we need one

I would like a Season 2. The first four episodes really tested me but as the series continued I really came to enjoy all the characters. Kit began as the character I didn’t like that made it nearly unwatchable but as I continued watching I understood her character more and realized it was just poor writing for the first few episodes. I hope for a second season, just so long as they have learned from this first one and ease up on the unnecessary negative bile.

You know what this reminds me of? When I invite a bunch of my male friends over to watch my favorite NFL football team on TV play a huge very important playoff game but one of my friends brings along his new girlfriend and her best friend who's a young gay guy and it's all cool until the girlfriend and her best friend who know nothing at all about NFL football start commenting on how cute all the players look in their tight uniforms all throughoutthe friggin game!!!. Smh. 😆🤣

The point is that the commenter seemed to hunger for praise of a show mere days before even Disney+ didn't want to touch it anymore. That's as embarrassing as not only being the last soldier to die in the losing side of a war, but volunteered for the mission to go over the top. On purpose.

Haha fun show... Not this is a horrid feast of a show and no where near the movie itself. And lets not speak on the ratings of this trash. Trying to implement todays dialogue into a show is not the thing to do for a fantasy. Most people watching fantasy are trying to escape the real world and it's language not trying to watch a show that shows them there's no escape.
