ABOUT EUROLEAGUE BASKETBALL
Euroleague Basketball (EB) is a global leader in the sports and entertainment business, devoted to running the top European competitions of professional basketball clubs under a unique and innovative organizational model. About One Team
One Team, Euroleague Basketball's corporate social responsibility (CSR) program , supported by Turkish Airlines as the One Team Founding Patron and with the collaboration of Special Olympics as Proud Partner, uses basketball to achieve real social impact in our communities. With an innovative model of interconnectedness across an entire continent, Euroleague Basketball and its clubs have developed a complete CSR program that brings together activities from each team in an integrated, impactful way, working under the theme of "community integration" that actively addresses targets of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 10 on Reduced Inequalities. Each participating club develops a specific One Team project tailored to its own community needs to benefit groups in danger of exclusion due to problems such as substance abuse and gender, physical or intellectual disability. Since its founding in 2012, the One Team program has reached already directly and indirectly more than 23,000 participants through its various team projects.

Why did Micic choose OKC (with all the young guards there) over Euroleague where he'd be a number 1 option? Money??? I've noticed quit a few euro league players joining NBA (like the guy with the kings, exum)

Money and he's going to likely be the 6th man with his skillset. Despite the number of guards, most of them are still young and developing. Micic will come in and get huge minutes right away.

He was drafted second round to the 76ers a few years ago during the “trust the process” era. They sat him out cause they were tanking. OKC has had his player rights since 2020 when they got the shai trade, they just happen to be in a “tanking” state too.

@@HookahDoncic77 I know OKC had his draft rights. I am a Thunder fan. Read the OP again. He's asking why Micic decided to finally come over to the NBA instead of staying in the EuroLeague.
He should return to Efes before losing any more time in Oklahoma. He is not a good fit for NBA.
Spurs will trade for him in a package

@@joshuahicks6583 i dont know do you understand serbian and what i wrote,so i will answer you in english. This is not a team for Vasa he is 29y old and he needs somewhere he can have minutes and play his game, Okc will not be patient with him he is a ball dominant guy,and they already have Shai and Gidey as ball dominant..he will be traded during the seson or he will be gone after one seson and take some money. I dont see this thing working out for him in Okc. If he playe in Utha or Toronto maybe. Okc no chance for Vasa and his game.

@otacmakarije352 I would agree with you, but OKC plays positionless basketball. Meaning they can put in people who fit their play style. Vasilije Micic is a very good point guard who knows how to distribute the ball well. Which is the kind of player Josh Giddey is, but Vasilije Micic can shoot the three a lot better than any of our members on our team. He will fit in perfectly as a backup point guard to maybe even starting over Josh Giddey depending on how he gels with his teammates. He's going to a team that will be competing for a championship in the next year or two, if not this year. I think you will be surprised in how he will fit in here, Sam Presti is by far the best GM in basketball and he got a plan cooking for all of these guys he's bringing in.
