Stewie for me, to predict then lead her team to 4 straight chips all while earning numerous individual awards, including four straight MOP awards is by far deserving of the #1 ranking.

Thank you Storrs South for publishing this piece. As a long time Lady Huskies fan, I am too emotionally invested in all the players that came through the program. Picking the top 10 would be akin to picking your favorite child-I just can’t do it.

Omg Mo at #10 ? Yeah she has the most assists and all that. Yes people have such short memories, but she also almost always negated the others teams best guards which was often their best player. She was easily a top 10 point guard, but was one of the absolute best defenders and leaders (including the stuff most don't see in practice and on the road) She was extremely durable and only missed a handful of games. Yes she had a great supporting cast, but look how many teams have had some great players such as Coates, Mitchell, and Wilson who at times struggled because they didn't have a point guard getting them the ball when they needed it. They lost games they shouldn't have because teams took away the inside or some aspect of their game. Moriah never allowed Stewie and Tuck to be taken out of a game and could take a game over herself if need be. I realize this isn't an easy list to make, but Moriah should be top 5. I think this list favors the older players quite a lot.

This seems weird seeing the stats and records of the teams when players played. Basketball is such a team effort so a lot of times I think people assume that the best player on the winningest team deserves to be amongst the greats but I disagree. Solid list but just as an individual basketball player Maya should hands down be #1. Nobody almost in women’s basketball history was more athletic, strong, fast, and could do more than her. One on one bone of these players would beat her, and yes even Stewie or Diana.
