The number of memories and feelings listening to this mix after so many years. When I first heard it, I was 19/20 and a completely different person, different life and in a different environment. Hearing these songs causes a burst of emotions - pain, nostalgia, excitement, longing, and peace. Why do we miss the past that much, even if we're objectively living a better life now? Sometimes I'd give everything to go back to 2012 just for a day and relieve it all - the good and the bad.

You said it best. It's because we can't re-live it. It's like trying to catch the air. It exists only in the mind. Nostalgia isn't a bad thing by itself. The memories just become a safer place that we can re-visit when the present isn't something we want to deal with.

I was 22 and in college out in Oregon when I first heard this mix. I resonate with you about being a completely different person, living a different life, and in a different environment. The car rides I'd take while listening to this on a rainy day/night became a core memory; while finding my own path, away from home.

10 years since listened it first. Still one of the best music compilations to relax with...

Coming back 8 years older just to enjoy this masterpiece again

Time to listen again my friend, another 6 years have passed!

I got so lost in the 3rd song at 8:59 It makes me think of living life. Like being at a beach at sunset with good friends, travelling overseas and seeing amazing places and being somewhere with a breath taking view with a lover or something. I’m 23 and I’ve been in a rut for so long now and I have so many fucked up problems. That song even for a few minutes just gives me hope that I can turn shit around and start living my life again. I just have to keep trying even though I’ve failed so many times. Lol this probably sounds so dramatic to anybody reading this. But good music always gets me into deep thought.

SAME since 2013 it made my summer since then i listen to this at night to sleep or like u said to a view like mountains and forest there is always a diffrent way to see things in life we are blind living the fast life and thinking work ist everything just focusing a few minutes in silence changed my life and this fu**ing amazing mix helped a lot hope we all have a good day peace

The feels. I used to listen to this around 2012/13 on my way to work/school. Didn’t have to be stoned or nothing. I just let the ride take over.

Almost 10 years now... and I still love this mix. Every song.

I still love highway cruising at night alone listening to this, blazed up, bass bumpin, middle of nowhere, just the road and the vibes

I'm currently addicted to this type of music (chillstep), its just to calming, peaceful and great quality in general.

All I ever listen to at work, helps me chill out when I am staring at spreadsheets all day!

So many memories and feelings with these older chill mixes, reminds me of a better time, in highschool, no real worries but driving all the time and hanging with a few close friends, and her... but that's all long gone now, time flies

I listen to this songs so many times after my dad died. This songs helped me to process this.

This mix helped me get through life back in like 2014-2016 ish. Coming back is a crazy feeling of.. nostalgia and sadness. But also a feeling of pride knowing how far I’ve come since then. Stay safe everyone.

I believe this was my VERY FIRST introduction to chillstep back in 2014 or so--can't thank you enough @OnlyChillstep! Really opened up a new door to different genres I may not have otherwise been exposed to!

The number of thanks I would love to give for this... it's helped me focus on homework, and is helping me catch up immensely. I would be so stressed without this.

Most of the songs are nice, but it's definitely not a good mix to fall asleep to. In fact I'd call it a major fail as a CHILLstep mix because of the inclusion of horrifying and totally un-relaxing tracks like 42:32 and 1:00:53.
