The show wasn't about "nothing" -- it was about "life". Many of the issues we ourselves deal with over our lifetimes. Not stupid jokes like so many other sitcoms, but actual life experiences portrayed in extremely witty dialog by very talented (especially George & Kramer) actors.

@@alia1413 yes . . . But its Larry's amazing attention to every day life and his amazing ability to capture the synchronicity of everyday's monotonous situations. Larry David utilised the staple to great comedy i.e. to exaggerate a seemingly simple and obvious every day life problem, and, write very clever dialogue around it. 😃👌

Absolutely. Season 2, 3, 4, 5 are absolutely brilliant. Season 1 is different but I like it. Season 6 and 7 are still very good, but the characters are getting a bit too crazy, George is just screaming a lot, not nearly as neurotic and subtle as in the first seasons. Apparently mid way through Season 3 there was a program formatting change by NBN i.e. the day & timeslot Seinfeld aired in was changed. What many Executives thought this 'daring read that as stupid move' would end Seinfeld. Like a Seinfeld episode, the EXACT opposite occurred. This timeslot change sent Seinfeld into the stratosphere in the US market, and a year later, the rest of the world. The same exact thing allegedly happened to The Big Bang Theory.

Really sad that at 7:44 an iconic scene would NEVER be allowed to be made or aired today because nobody has a sense of humor anymore. Being able to see the humor in ones self rather than taking every joke as a personal attack is kind of a necessary skill to be successful in our society yet all thats preached now is have a thin skin and let everything make you sad. God this show was really the last hurrah for real sitcoms in 90's, the last best decade for music and movies and tv. Imagine if Fox tried making Married with Children today, wouldnt happen.
