Just watching Billy alone on the stage talking about Robin is one of the most painful things. I'm eternally grateful to KZread and its content creators who have kept Robin alive for all of us, forever.

I tried falling asleep to the Marc maron podcast when robin was a guest. I had to turn it off bc I was laughing too much to sleep.

This tape when I 1 st saw it over 3 yrs. Ago was a fund raising benefit for the homeless. & the adio is totally out of sinc !!!!! This original was was 2 hours long!!! This post should totally be re-done & corrected. People do recall & remember!!!!

There will never be another Robin Williams...his wit and delivery along with his facial expressions and physical energy were unbeatable. AND - he was just a really kind and genuine person.

Robin Williams saved my life, literally. I can never thank him enough. 😭

I'm always on the verge of tears when I see Robin Williams, even now, six years after his death. When someone brings so much joy and laughter to the world, the absence of it is deafening.

I have been on a Robin stand up binge, personally I used to watch it with my step mom and her boyfriend at the time

Thanks for sharing. Robin's energy gave us 80 years of satisfaction.

Their appearance on Friends may have been the best guest star in the entire show's run. It was nearly 3 minutes of crying from laughter.

Billy and Robin appeared on Leno in 1998 to plug "Father's Day." If you watch the entire interview closely (part of it is in this clip from about 8:30 - 13:30 and the entire thing is elsewhere here on YT) you can see the moment Leno decides, "screw it, it's their show now" and gave up on trying to do any semblance of an interview And they went for at least another 15-20 minutes after that.

Billy Crystal makes him come alive again that can only be real friendship .

Billy Crystal is a living legend. Robin is missed and a great comedian, Billy Crystal had the most iconic comedic timing.

I've had patients with LB disease. The horror of the experience of having that illness makes ending it by ending life make sense. He was a wonderful, brilliant person who was very aware of his decline and he prevented the worst part of the experience of the illness.

NOTHING will ever make sense of taking your own life!! That’s the spirit of suicide!!! no matter what he was gonna go through you go through it no matter what you don’t take your life and put that much pain on your loved ones that’s NOT OK!!

There will NEVER be another Robin Williams.

My personal favorite line from Robin was when he was on the Actor's studio and he's being asked: "If heaven exists, what would you like to hear when you reach the pearly gates?" and his answer was: "Two jews walk into a bar..." Just the idea that God himself would tell him a joke. I like to think he's sitting next to Him exchanging funny jokes. I truly miss you Robin! Hope you're laughing as hard as you made us laugh now.

James Lipton said, more than once, that of the several hundred "Inside the Actor's Studio" episodes he filmed, far and away he got the most questions and comments about the one with Robin. And most of *those* were about the impromptu performance with the scarf.

@@johndybala8580 Well yeah! If you've seen the whole interview, you understand why. Most people would just answer the questions and sometimes be funny. Robin Williams answered the questions but also went into a full performance at the same time. It is quite amazing to witness.

He gets asked one question then he's on a roll and goes into super funny mode and they have to wait till hes done then he gets asked another question, the off Robin goes again. I always look forward to him on any interview and I will always miss that.

I love how Whoopi’s just back there LOSING it watching her best friends be genius and nearly peeing herself. What a friendship they have. I love them all.

I miss that hyperactive yet insightful man so much, and I LOVE his bromance with Billy so much.

I’m sobbing as I write this. Rest In Peace, Robin Williams. Or, if not in peace, then I wish you endless happiness, fun, and laughter in the place that we go when we die, wherever that may be. You always have been and always will be a legend, even if you are no longer with us. I cannot thank you enough for being so incredible and lifting the spirits of so many people.

I miss Robin so much. I was just asking my wife, you know, with all this in the world right now, it would be so nice to have Robin Williams take on it. He was one of my greatest heroes

Robin on speed must have been invisible to the naked eye. I miss this man so much it hurts. I see him and a smile...and in seconds I am doubled over in tears with laughter. The man was pure genius. R.I.P. Robin...gone but never forgotten.

I cried like a baby when he died. I remembered all of the joy he brought me when I was a kid. The million and 1 times I popped that Mrs. Doubtfire tape in my VCR. My second favorite film after that being Bicentennial Man and the beautiful memory I had of watching that in the theater. He enriched so many of our childhoods, he was such a special man.

I can never understand how some people don't find Billy talented. It's okay if you don't laugh. Humor is subjective. But the man is entertaining and has presence.

You have to be a great comedian to keep up with Robin Williams.. what a genius!

What Robin Williams' gave to the world was laughter, he gave everything he had and we loved him even more.... Now he has passed from our lives, but we will always have him on film, such a brilliant mind gone far too soon.... I don't have to read other tributes to know just how much Robin has meant to the entire globe, a real power house of enormous talent with such presence and a great entertainer..... Sadly missed, loved and remembered always.

Hearing Billy talk about Robin just melts my heart. Their friendship was so amazing. They're both super forces and Im glad we get to watch these on the internet.

Robin and Billy really played off of one another seamlessly. So damned funny. Robin was on the verge of insanity a pure genius. But Billy really was the perfect straight man for him.

Robin Williams, like his idol and mentor, Jonathan Winters, was not just funny, he was absolutely brilliant. His delivery was brutally honest and always laced with humor. He was truly one of a kind and will be sorely missed. Wherever he is right now, I'm sure he's cracking everyone up just as he did here on earth.

To this day I believe that Robin Williams was the greatest comedian of all time who not only made more people laugh than anyone else in history, he made us look at ourselves and realize what's really important in this life: Each other. I think he, more than any celebrity ever, will be missed. The first time I saw Robin and Billy together was very early footage from The Improv, in the early 80s, Robin was speaking trying to sound like an older black southern gent and Billy was doing the "sign language", hilarious!

Jonathan Winters was Robins mentor and if you look at Jonathans recordings on KZread you will see a good deal of him in Robin.

Robin William leaving us 7 years ago, I am still weeping that he is not here with us. Billy to stay up with Robin should tell how magnificent he is. The two together formed the greatest comedy team since Martin and Lewis. Billy please stay with us .... Please!!

Magical moments that would never believe if it were never recorded! Thank you Robin Williams for being a great entertainer you are. Billy did well to harvest that energy and deliver comic gold!

Thinking about robin passing makes you feel like someone in your family passed away. There's a sadness you can't quite express. Because i'm shedding a tear over a man i never met or never knew, because i miss him dearly.

Thank you universe for letting me be alive to see such comic geniuses like Robin and Billy!!!

That tribute is still gut-wrenching to watch. Say what you want about Whoopi's politics, but for the nine minutes of that video, you are not watching Whoopi. You are watching Caryn being helped by her friend William as she tries to pick up the ten million pieces of her shattered heart.

every time i hear Robin's line "this is so much cheaper than therapy", i cry a little. i so wish that he might have tried a little more therapy and still be with us.

Therapy had nothing to do with it. Trying a little more therapy was not the answer to having LBD. He had over 40 indications of this disease that robbed him of his mind, his body and his spirit. He would not still be with us with a little more therapy. I would strongly suggest that you read the article that his wife wrote regarding his passing and his last days. It will enlighten you so that you won’t go around thinking and talking about how he needed more therapy and would still be with us. That’s a blatant falsehood. It’s unfortunate but it’s true.

Now, my good Rx of 22yrs certainly do their fine chemistry magic of mostly helping the very job of keeping the calm status quo for me. But humorous talents I've had in front of me, All of them, work wonders on me, on everyone's Need for a big, crazy shot of Endorphins to transform our brains/bodies/moods et al, to a much Better place, a productive place, a Loving Place. Yes, Laughter is a great and safe way to empowering one that's hurting. It's the perfect "tool" to aid in fixing broken folks.

Mighty Matthew especially in the segment were Robin is behind Billy talking for him. Wow!

Never one who was ever all that into Friends, but the thing I was most-impressed with regarding that clip was how the main cast-members were able to maintain their composure through that scene and not break character, succumbing to breathless fits of laughter -- I know that I couldn't possibly have been able to keep my shit together in any of their places no matter how many takes were taken.

Quick, someone contact NSA to find out if they recorded phone conversations between Robin and Billy!! ;^}

Robin had the most incredible energy, with a brain that was just spitting out information faster than most people think....and then there's Billy. His ability to point Robin's energy/control it was truly amazing to watch. He just understood his comedy and how to make it flourish. RIP Robin

Robin Williams a one of a kind comic genius. I got a huge kick out of Johnny Carson, who I watched faithfully laugh uncontrollably WITH Robin Williams. He seemed to me to be the very few who got a genuine belly/gut laugh out loud from Mr. Carson. I enjoyed the two of them immensely.

Not only is he keeping up with Robin, which is an achievement in itself, but he does it seemless.

Seeing them together for so many clips and then seeing that one clip of Billy by himself talking about their relationship in the pastense... :( They had such an amazing iconic friendship :)

this is so good! i love this! He was something else, nothing compares.

I love how they riff of each other. Billy would let Robin loose, let him crazy it up a bit and then play off anything that came at him brilliantly.

In the tribute he did with Whoopi, he said that they would routinely call each other on the phone and, as Billy put it, "we were on the phone for hours and never talked as ourselves." The Leno clip is one of those times when you are given a peek into that part of their friendship.

They were the definition of BEST FRIENDS! Two of the most brilliant improv comics!

When Robin died so many of his friends and acting partners sent out their messages, usually over Twitter or other social media. I think Billy managed to express his sadness with the most dignity and respect just by saying 'No words.'

This is the power of great improv work between them while one is on another level - the power of art acceptance and love

He was and always will be the giant of comedy and improvisation and Billy was such a great friend
