My mom was a nurse manager and that job was VERY stressful. She had employees who would try to argue with her..people literally asked her if they really had to come to work on time..she was great at her job but was tired of the disrespect!

When you work in a unit that has the oldest IV pumps that only say "low bat/sensor/no drop" and then move to a unit that has fancy schmancy volume pumps, it's like you've reached the promised land. *cue angels singing*

Coming out of my 7 hour nursing school orientation I know I had to have had the deer in the headlight look...lol!! Meanwhile, it wasn't until 3 days into the actual program that I was in the fetal position on my couch having the first of many meltdowns ...crying what did I get myself into?...lol!! We made it though...Lord have mercy I honestly wonder how but we did...it was pretty brutal
