My favourite thing about Milton is that he always looks like he just woke up!
Milton’s humour is incredible, no profanity, just a twisted wit

@@Jill_of_trades "From the makers of" doesn't encapsulate the specific joke format in question. The joke is 'words ending in the _two_ sound.' If you're going to be a pedant, then at least do it properly. Jill with an opinion on all trades, but with mastery and understanding of none.

The jokes which are reliant on the onscreen image don't work when you blur out the onscreen image. I'm sure there's all kinds of very fun and interesting legal reasons that the images are blurred, but perhaps just don't include the punchline if you can't include the set up?

I have been a fan of his for years, ever since seeing him at a comedy gig when he came to my uni (before he was famous). In fact, I somehow acting as an administrator over what is now his official Facebook page - at the time it only had a couple of hundred followers. When he first came to mock the week, I was delighted. But, to be honest, he reused so many of his jokes that I'd seen in his gig. And I'd actually downloaded a recording of one of his gigs, which I listened to loads of times, so had heard the jokes many times already. To be honest, I was a bit disappointed. He's clearly very funny, but knowing his old material so well, it was a bit of a let down - rather than seeming quick witted, he seemed like he was just rehashing his old stuff. To be fair, they all do in certain rounds - yiu expect that. But when it comes to regular "banter" parts of the show, you expect some kind of fresh/topical humour. He's still really funny, and great for the stand up elements of the show, and certainly improved for the other areas of the show as the years have gone by. But I get the feeling he is at his best with a polished, well-thought out material. That being said, he was heckled when I saw him at uni and I'm not sure I've ever seen someone handle a heckler so brilliantly!
Where was his most legendary 'Beatrice' pun for 'Unlikely lines from a cookery show?' For an on-the-spot joke, that was pretty epic!

Milton Jones is the new Tommy Cooper
Note to MTW, caption jokes work better with the picture, why are you censoring something you own the right to broadcast already? lol
Why the pixelated photos
Whats with the blurred out images?
It's never quite as funny when someone has to explain it to you, but I've been trying to figure out 1:13 for a few minutes now. Looking up the transcript didn't help. Is it a UK thing?
@markredmond9257

The scene was unlikely movie trailers. His next line would've been Mange tout (two). Mange one being a prequel.
The one about leaving Great Britain works on more levels than most people realise. Great Britain is the name of the mainland (great as in large). Not the nation itself.
If 'None' is the answer, what is the question? - 'If 2 of the opening 3 gags are censored to point of ruining said gags, what's the fucking point?!'
Not so good with the blurred images.
Could someone explain the monge-one joke?
@silvasilvasilva

It's a pun on mange-tout (a type of bean, sounds like mange two). He was on a streak of puns about movie sequels (hence the cocka-one and cocka-two joke).

Does he secretly hate the scottish?
A one liner Milton Jones would never do. ''Jane Tomlinson she ran herself into the ground didn't she?''
I love Milton , he is a comedy icon , he always makes people laugh even without any swear words . I do watch comedians like all of them on Mock The Week , live at the apollo ect . But I feel that when most comedians write scripts, material and most of the jokes can be very repetitive and it's quite annoying sometimes. Like Brendan O ' Carrol with mrs Browns boys and hes been using the same script for many years . I'm not giving any comedians any hate , it's just my view on comedy these days. It would be better if they just scrap their old jokes and write something new and exciting to talk about :)
Must have been pre-2016 when MtW was funny.
blurring the picture makes the joke kinda pointless
10fps rip 💀
Very odd and unprofessional pixelated photos done in a way that looks like it was edited by a high school student.
well not being able to see the subject kinda ruins the jokeXD
And yet again the Legal department sucks the joy out of the room by blurring out the photos that are the setups for the jokes, thus making the jokes meaningless. At least replace the photos with maybe a charcoal sketch or BBC costume drama re-enactment or something that would let us know just what Milton was being so funny about.
