There’s not an ounce of push and pull aside from the few times Jungkook drops honourifics & Jimin scolds him (this disappears in 2019 onwards). I would summarise the year as “warm & growing”. Jungkook’s graduation is the first mark that is very odd/questionable to me. Jimin thinking it’s gross? The very (cringy in an intimate way) car conversation. The whole thing about Jungkook being an adult now. Their closeness is very evident, they’re very comfortable with each other now. There’s no intense flirting like in 2014-2015 but there’s something there that’s so evident to that you can’t put your finger on it. A tension, a different energy. ESPECIALLY around October, when Jungkook teases the trip on Jimin’s birthday from there on out they’re very clingy & huggy. Pick eachother first, complementary. “Something was in the air”, as you might say. They couldn’t stop talking about Tokyo until the end of the year. There’s not much you can say about 2017 to summarise besides I have such a soft spot for where their relationship was heading this year. It felt like the reward to what they went through in 2016 with their emotional confusion & hardships. Being the only one present for medical emergencies, mentioning spending time together shopping, buying gifts, bowling. Jungkook fulfilling Jimin’s wish to go Tokyo on the very little time they got off, they chose to spend it together. I genuinely believe they started a relationship/dating after/during Tokyo, after spending much needed time together alone away from people/staff and their shared dorm. You see Jungkook’s shameless/confident side start to show and Jimin getting shy/flustered. The start of their hyung/dongsaeng roles being flipped & evened. It’s so endearing to watch. This is also the start of them being inseparable, this grew over time, and reaches its climax in 2019: the beginning of the being together 24/7 Backstage, sharing cars, behind the scenes, walking to places, practices before concerts. One thing I realized as this newest one began, is that I really love how you use the same intro music and the piano version of "Serendipity". I love that consistent approach, with the music. This was a HUGE year for them being open and not being embarassed or anything. Enjoying all their time together. Hawaii solidified the trip I think and of course Tokyo. Happy that this was also the year I got to see them for the 1st time in BKK when they did the live where Jimin yelled at him for singing 💜💛👉👈

What bugs my mind til this day is when jk almost fainted and he was assisted by the staffs and some medics and I think RM mentioned that it's best if everybody stays out but Jimin was in the room along with 2 other individuals
