A solid 14 minutes of freezing heavy Irish slabs in all their raw unedited glory, featuring all the perfect set ups that dot the coastlines. An overwhelming theme in the comments sections of the previous edits is that the people want raw sounds, no music, just the power of the ocean. So here we have it folks, waves have the OG sounds where possible, others have been overlaid with a raw ocean soundtrack courtesy of Sky Monkey. Listen to the ocean vibes or slam on some of your own tunes.

True story. I visited Ireland in 2004 on my way to study in Italy. My fiends and I walked along the Cliffs of Moher, no waves and I had no knowledge of the breaks, none. But the rest of the day it was killing me. I knew in my gut that was a surfing wonderland. It had a mysticism to it. It was calling to me, I swear. I will surf there one day.

Yeah the cold does that. The density of the water increases the colder it is. I love winter waves.

The water is actually insignificantly more dense in cold water surf, however higher surface tension means it takes more energy to pierce the surface, therefore feels harder or " heavier"
