A solid 14 minutes of freezing heavy Irish slabs in all their raw unedited glory, featuring all the perfect set ups that dot the coastlines. An overwhelming theme in the comments sections of the previous edits is that the people want raw sounds, no music, just the power of the ocean. So here we have it folks, waves have the OG sounds where possible, others have been overlaid with a raw ocean soundtrack courtesy of Sky Monkey. True story. I visited Ireland in 2004 on my way to study in Italy. My fiends and I walked along the Cliffs of Moher, no waves and I had no knowledge of the breaks, none. But the rest of the day it was killing me. I knew in my gut that was a surfing wonderland. It had a mysticism to it. It was calling to me, I swear. I will surf there one day.
This is THE best bodyboarding video I've watched.
🌊😲👌🏻HeLL yeaaah, such an amazing surf spot, I would've never guessed it to be in Ireland to be honest, incredible slabby barrels with a ton of cold water and air temperature to keep you well awake so that you don't mess up your fun while you're in that hardcore spot I would say😬👍🏻🇵🇹🇳🇱🙋🏻♂️.

Yeah the cold does that. The density of the water increases the colder it is. I love winter waves.

The water is actually insignificantly more dense in cold water surf, however higher surface tension means it takes more energy to pierce the surface, therefore feels harder or " heavier"
This is so brutal.
That is awesome! The guy at about 3.50sec loses his flipper, only ever had that happen to me once and I didn’t maintain the composure of that guy😂. Great footage of amazing riding. Congrats on the video

Oh that opened up so good, heavy barrels. I'd need Ventolin in my wet suit for that cold. Damn some of these look like the breaks that only handle size 5 k from my house. Only worth hitting when over 6 ft. Best at 8-12. Ireland is f#cKn gnarly.
