Hi R&M, thanks a million for visiting Karaikudi !!! I have studied there for 3 years and after 2001 did not visited that place. Its a lovely place with lovely food. May be the only place in India where you find Educational Institutions on both sides of a straight road, from a School (KV) to a University. That straight road itself felt like a Campus during morning and evening when everyone comes out of the institutions. Loved that !!! Love your shows !!!

Also the Chettiars brought back many influences from the history of hosting British guests during the early 19th century. Chettiars are known for their warm hospitality and the size of their kitchens. They emphasise on joint family system so every meal is usually a large and elaborate affair.
