❤️Hello friends, celebrated across the country for its brilliant variety of delicacies, Chettinad cuisine is vibrant, vivacious and vivid in all means. The traditional cuisine of the Chettiar community of Tamil Nadu, Chettinad cuisine has a culinary tradition unlike any other. Chettinad cuisine is a complex blend of well balanced flavours.
The cuisine uses a myriad of spices like star anise, stone flower, red chillies, fennel seeds, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, black peppercorns and Fenugreek seeds. The richness of the gravy is increased by the use of coconut, tomatoes, ginger and garlic. It can be easily said that Chettinad cuisine is loaded with distinct aromas and flavours.
In this vlog friends we visited this small eatery in Powai area of Mumbai called The Chettinad Tiffun House and I can confidently say that I discovered another hidden gem in Mumbai.
The place was small but clean and cosy. The food was as fresh as it can get. The Paniyaram's deserve a special mention. The vegetarian thali was full of the flavours of Chettinad. The three varieties of rice namely tamarind rice, lemon rice and curd rice were delicious and aromatic.
The chicken chettinad and the kothukari dosa were equally good. We really relished the meal and loved the warmth and hospitality of the staff.
So friends do visit this place and enjoy the flavours of Chettinad.

Malgudi days was shot in Western Ghats Of Karnataka ie mangalore, udipu belt , also the best masala dosai , idli sambar .. Is the in the world the South Indian meals generic name means udipi hotels oota. On coast of Arabian sea. Chettinad is on the opposite side ie tamil nadu bay of bengal. The food is tasty and good. But idipi is most in general tasty of the masala dosai ( mtr, vidyarthi udipi krisna bhavan etc in bangalore ) in most of these south Indian hotels are udipi hotel.
