Car: CARLOS SAINZ / LUCAS CRUZ (TEAM PEUGEOT TOTAL) won the Dakar 2018 in front of NASSER AL-ATTIYAH / MATTHIEU BAUMEL (TOYOTA GAZOO RACING SA) and GINIEL DE VILLIERS / DIRK VON ZITZEWITZ (TOYOTA GAZOO RACING SA).
For its 40th edition, the 10th to be held in South America, the Dakar rally is revisiting the Pacific Ocean and the dunes of Peru, which drivers and riders will tackle after a few days sampling the delights of the capital, Lima. Competitors will then head through to Bolivia, for a welcome rest day in the festive atmosphere of La Paz. Argentinian aficionados top the podium when it comes to enthusiasm and good humour, and the most joyous of them will be waiting to acclaim the riders in Córdoba, host to the Dakar finish line for the first time.

La mejor edición de los últimos años en mi opinión lo tuvo todo acción,drama, accidentes y buenos pilotos
Carlos Sainz es de los mejores y siempre ha tenido mala suerte. Ya era hora que se viera recompenzado.

Do you really think the other pilots stop by their own will? Do you know what team orders are? If Sainz had not gone first in the standings, Peugeot would have told him to stop to help his teammates. If you have chances to win the Dakar, what do you do? Slow down your pilot to, instead of getting a 1st position, get a 3rd, 5th and 6th? Did you see Al-Attiyah stop to help Ten Brinke?

Nuestro Sainz , siempre un pelito incomprendido y mal valorado por la prensa española. Uno de los mejores pilotos que ha tenido españa. Y sin embargo solo se recuerda de el el arranca carlos... Ahi lo teneis con dos cojones. Y ganando con un peugeot. Ahora tambien sera el coche...

Sin la participación de Peugeot 3008 ya no es interesante.
Un dakar muy diferente a los demás... Argentina en su totalidad ni lo vio televisado. Hubo expectativa? Si. Pero no se parecio en lo absoluto a los anteriores. Es más el final del mismo a casi nadie le importo. Volvieron en silencio. Solo Cuyo y el centro de Argentina lo vivieron con algarabia. Esperemos que si vuelven el año que viene sea mejor. Vengan para el otro costado Formosa, Chaco, Misiones, Entre Ríos...Paraguay.

I've found it was about almost six hours for the stage 12 so bikes and cars would finish approximatively with 49h, together, the same time.... Impressive! Well done the staff!

disappointing year to be honest, with the 2WD, big wheel and suspension they made the cars to bouncy and firm in search of speed and handling which just made them crash constantly.. it's weird to see a five time Dakar winner like Despres running around playing mechanic and babysitting other drivers...

Most of them convert 4wd to 2wd buggy shaped. They said weight reduction and fuel consumption is the main goals in marathon rallying. 4wd mechanisms contributes alot of weight, it made engine works harder, consumes more fuel. Sorry for my bad English.

There was a prototype class in Dakar Rally, until it banned in 90's. The craziest car ever made in Dakar Rally. Somehow some competitors installed formula car class even not a F1 engine into they car.
Carlos est l'un des meilleur mais pas la Peugeot! Comme Renault est devenu grâce à Alonso ainsi que la Peugeot grâce à Carlos Sainz! Sur cette voiture il n'y a que le nom qui est Peugeot et plus rien!
