I prefer the led lights because of how the "whiter" color lights make objects stand out more.. With halogen objects seem to blend into the background

These lights came on my 2021 TRD 4x4 off road and they are awesome, and well worth the upgrade in my opinion.

Another wonderful video as always. I too like the white color of LED lights. I can see true colors at night that I couldn't see with halogens. Another aspect of the whiter light (LEDs) is that they light up the reflectors in the middle of the road and the white stripes much better and much farther down the road. If I can make a request would you possibly make a short follow up video of the OEM LEDs cutoff line at 25 feet and a LUX reading at 25 feet of both low and high beams of the OEM LEDs? Thanks.

I have been told, and also read somewhere, that the human eye reacts better to a whiter light such as the LEDs. That's why the LEDs seem brighter. I have them on my 17 Tacoma, and enjoy the improvement.

May I suggest a follow up? Perhaps find a lux meter and a Tacoma friend with halogens to get some actual numbers to see if there really is a brightness difference.

Thanks, i just ordered my LED TRD PRO headlights(same price as the regular LED's) from spark. There price was already the cheapest i'v seen them around but with your discount it was a no brainer and i had to get them. I was trying to decide on these vs the alpharex. But you can't beat Toyota OEM for cheaper.

Great video, I will add that I put The Super Nova SV-4 bulbs and Diode Dynamics Pro fog lights in my 21 TRD sport. The color and lighting is perfect. I work 3rd shift and drive in roads with no street lights, so good light is essential for me. For those looking for better lighting, I highly recommend them. That being said, the Baja fog lights or the GTR II bulbs was my other choice, but I went with the Diode Dynamics because of a good sale and the SV-4 because the GTR II have a concentrated hot spot vs the SV-4 are consistent across the beam pattern. Hope this helps!

So when i ordered my leds, i originally wanted just the passenger side "trd" and wanted the offroad leds on the driver side since there isnt any "pro" badging on them. When they arrived i was noticed there is more chrome in the non pro versions. Just a heads up if anyonelse wanting to do this

I have the led light option. Always get the better headlights/stereo in any vehicle you buy.

Just upgraded my 2019 TRD Off Road with the OEM's from SPARKs using the vid from Chloe (thanks!) and they look amazing! Prior to this though I ran Diode Dynamics LED bulbs in my original lights and was also very impressed with them. and the winner is?...SPARKS PARTS OEM. Light-wise they were both great...but the OEM's look more stylish.

Anything LED is Worth it just for the look on its own

Literally was going to buy the LED lights from sparks parts on Wednesday, when I got an email as I was at the bank and the dealership wanted my truck so I went they paid off my truck no negative which was crazy cause I barely had it for a year but I got a Super White TRD Sport and the lights really are different at night way better

So I have had my LED headlights for about a year now and they are definitely brighter than the ones on the video and if I turn on my fog lights and light bars it's like close encounters of the third kind. I can see deer a half mile away.

I couldn't afford the oem headlights for my 2017 sr so I replaced all the halogen bulbs with lasfit h11 l.e.d.s they look great love the white light and I just purchased lasfit switch back l.e.d.s for my fog lights they turn on white but if you push the button twice they turn to and amber color witch I heard are great in heavy snow and rain storms can't wait until they come in I saw them installed on a u tube video and the guy tried putting on some amber film first but it just didn't look proper so he found the swivh backs on line 5 minute install on each light the difference was unbelievable I've had the lasfit bulbs in mine for three years with no problems so the fact that the swich backs where made by lasfit was perfect for me I like having all the same brands when I do things like this

You should PPF your headlights so they don’t fog over in the long haul

I replaced the halogen on my 2016 OR a few months into ownership, and its not that because the LED are brighter, but the white light projected created better illumination than the yellowish halogen, making the surrounding more visible. Reason replacing the OEM headlights to the new assembly: the LED bulbs have fans to dissipate heat, the fans makes a subtle noticeable whirling buzz noticeable when engine is off, and until lights turns off, either manually, or count down to auto off, as well as noticeable peeling of the clearcoat. New set of headlights from Sparks arrived a week ago, harness from Dave 2 weeks earlier, looking forward to install. Thanks Chloe.

TRD off road 2020 and up headlights have chrome around it, and pro headlights 2020 and up are black fully , yes it says pro on pro headlights only

Do you still use the load resistor that came with for your OEM LED headlights you installed because now, you added resistors to the rear? Or did you have to remove the ones up front?

I haven't ever looked at raptor lights, so I'm not sure

There are a lot of junk after-market lights and some high-quality after-market lights. My wife's 2020 CRV get some moisture in the OEM rear light...so it can happen with either OEM or after-market.

But you can put a LED light on the projection headlight.

Fun fact, if a vehicle made the Top Safety Pick but not every single trim has LED headlights standard, then it is disqualified from making Top Safety Pick+

I've never had LED but I suspect halogen is better for winter driving since they get warmer to melt snow and ice.

3rd gen sure led with oem projectors. 2nd gen, I love my morimoto hid setup from TRS. But led is like 600 lumins. Hid 3200 lumins. The main thing is using projectors with brighter lights. Otherwise you will blind people, specially if they drive with halogen bulbs.

The OEM LED light assemblies are LED for both the low and high beams.
