I remember when I got my dog Kapon (RIP buddy) I came home from Jr high feeling pretty bad about something and mom cleaned my room, I didn't know why and she told me to check to make sure she didn't mess anything up. I didn't think much and when I opened my door, this black lab/begal was waiting for me, wagging his little tail and howling like a baby begal...rest well buddy the best 15 years of my life

Oof, my pet rabbit ran away but I feel sorta bad because the only reason I wanted the rabbit was because a show I was obsessed with as a kid, and that’s the only reason I wanted the bunny, (I originally wanted a dog) but once I realized I was obsessed with the show and that it was that show that MADE me want one...I went back to liking dogs and my parents were sorta glad cuz, they thought that obsession of mine would go wrong soon 😅 (hopefully we get a puppy next year)

evertime i watched dog surprise compilation...i remember when i had my first puppy on my Bday..the best gift ever..i cried..but the love of my life is gone...his passing is the hardest day in my life..i didnt wanna go to school..didnt wanna do anything...i spent most of my days in my room..lookin at his picture...but im happy he spent his last days with me till the end..he was 13yo..i didnt ask doctor to put him a sleep...just want him to go naturally...if i ask doctor...i felt like i cut his life shorter...i didnt want it ro happen..so when i watched this vlog..i cry...

Sorry for your loss. I too lost my dog "Rocky" a 9 year old rottweiler who was a Christmas present for my then 6 year old daughter. It was the happiest day of her and my life. Every single day Rocky gave us nothing but unconditional love and alot of laughs. Getting a dog is one of the greatest gifts of life. Cherish the memories.

i lost my dog chihuahua too this january 14 its really hard to move on and im crying everyday until now i miss her she is 11 months when she dies bcos she cannot give birth of her child cause shes too small🥺💔💔💔

There's nothing than the unconditional love of a dog. They don't care if you're poor or "ugly". They'll accept you as their human, their mom or dad. The worst thing about a dog is the always too short period of time they're with us.

Nothing like a new puppy to make you feel good, but the love you get from your dog is unconditional. They do not judge

Sounds funny but get a cat. Very independent and wonderfully loving. A dog needs affection and time... If you need light in your life and cant provide much life (but can physically care and feed) back then try a adoptive friendly cat.

It's so beautiful when bestfriends meet each other for the first time.

The lady on the floor who asked if it was visiting or theirs just made me cry. She said “I love you ginger”, I just lost my dog and her name was ginger.... ❤️

This warms my heart...every loving family should have a dog....it completes the family

How can you not cry with those who cry when they finally get their best friend. You have to wonder what some of these people have gone through to bring them to tears. 😥 Then joy! 😀

Every puppy needs a kid. Even if only a kid at heart.

The puppy attack in yoga class reminded me my gym buddy Rocky. He was an enthusiastic young poodle dog belonged to the gym owner. I was so terrified with him first. But he was so lovely that I just melted. I miss him so much. Rocky, stay happy and healthy wherever you are. 😘❤💕

My husband and I always rescue. Our shar-pei was rescued from a dog fighting ring. He was so sweet they used him as a bait dog because he wouldn't fight. He passed away almost 2 years ago from cancer. We now have a weird little dog we think is Daschound and Jack Russell terrier mix. My friend sent me a video of this poor little girl chained to an old metal heating grid in this young couples kitchen. She didn't even have enough leash to lay down. We took her the next day. She had burn marks on her chest from a shock collar. I couldn't believe that someone would put that on a small dog. She's been with us now for a year and Every time my friend comes over Cinnamon jumps on her and gives her lovins as if she's saying thank you for saving me. She is happy and a little chubby, but that's her hoomans fault. We tend to give her tons of treats.

These are definitely the gifts that will keep on giving.... in good times.... and bad.

My dog of 19 years passed this year...i miss him so much :(

My girl named Leia passed away 2 years ago too, I always feel so guilty of little things (I was a little kid at the time) and it makes me cry to this day, makes me feel like I could've and should've given her a better life. It's always comforting to know that they're in a better place ❤️

Awww... the grandpa with the puppy is so precious...

The best thing about dogs is that they don't care what you look like, how big or skinny you are, how old or young you are, they'll still love you if you love them.

Just imagine being separated from your mommy, your siblings and everything you know just to be put into a dark box, hear unfamiliar sounds, in a surrounding you don't know, with different smells and nothing that feels like home, just to be screamed at and held by strangers. What a great start for your new life as a family dog, that shortly after suddenly has to behave and listen and do all the things humans want you to when they realize that having a dog doesn't mean having a plushy to only play and cuddle with.

This July I was surprised a puppy, and trust me their is no better feeling in this world. I hv never in my life cried of happiness but my puppy had me sobbing for hours. Getting a puppy is guaranteeing the best best friend you could ever have. People come and go but your dog will stay next to you no matter what.

Lol, I love these videos! I remember when my daughter was 5, we stopped on the side of the road and this guy was selling Chihuahua puppies. My daughter got down fell in love with this adorable little pup, picked it up, cradled it in her arms and told me "I'm taking her home Daddy!" Well what else could I do? They were inseparable. Great times

The woman who was working out just BOLTING to her dog officially killed me. I'm dead now.

My mom passed away 4 months shy of their 60th anniversary. He was 81. He would be home by himself so we bought a little Shih Tzu. He named him Domino. All white w two white spots on his face. My dad was in tears. He said I never had my very own dog. They were perfect for each other. Perfect dog for the elderly. That silly little 10 lb of fur couldn’t do tricks. It took a month to potty train him. The dog always stayed w my dad. Even slept w him. One night at 2am he was at our door barking and yelping like crazy. The dog never did this. I opened our bed door and the dog ran. Looking to see if I was following. My dad had a heart attack and was unconscious. The dog somehow knew. 12 months later he had a massive stroke that took his life. The dog did same thing. That dog stayed w me until passing recently at age 17. I always treated that dog like a king for what he did for my dads last few years.

Great seeing this and getting a puppy is one of the best things in the world but they shouldnt be given as a suprise gift, dogs are a huge commitment and people need to be prepared.

It reminds me of the day I got one of my cats 6 or so years ago. I knew he was coming, because I was 11 and I was with my mom when we brought him home. But when he stepped out of that cage I was so happy, and immediately fell in love with him. My childhood cat had passed away no longer then a week prior, and I was heartbroken. Not only that, but my papa was going to die a month later after a year in hospus so getting that void of loss somewhat filled with a new life you can love and cherish is the best feeling in the world, surprise or not. I miss you, Papa and K.C

I got my dog when I was 8. She was wearing a cute little pink sweater. I kept it and it is now the best thing. You can see how she's blossomed into what she is now and it really takes you back to that special feeling like these lovely people are experiencing! 😊. There's nothing else in the world like getting your new best friend that you will share adventures and memories with.

They are such bundles of absolute joy, friendship and care... My heart breaks a little bit more each day that I go without one in my life.

I still remind when i see my 7days old puppy the very first time It's been 3 Years and Now he's in heaven ❤❤ miss him

And for people that want a dog but can't have one for whatever reason (living in a nursing hime, medically unable to care for one), there are therapy dogs and visiting dogs. These dogs do wonderful work and bring joy to people, who really look forward to their visits. With Therapy dogs, the dog is the main attraction, the handler stays in the background. These dogs can somehow get through to people when humans can't, and seeing that is so rewarding for the handler and facility staff. And I am lucky enough to have a visiting dog, after a knee injury stopped me doing therapy dog work. There is less walking as a community visitor, so I get to see this a lot.

I remember the first time I got a puppy on my own. Didn't even intend to, went with my sister to look at a litter of Irish Setters she was interested in. There were TEN little mahogany colored puppies in the pen, I sat in the middle of them and they attac and lip smac and then I owned a puppy. I have never owned a dog that was so full of Life and Happiness. (although my two border collies came in a close second) A couple of years later my wife and I moved to Alaska and we loved outdoorsy stuff with our young family and Barney went everywhere with us, it was like hiking with an Olympic long distance runner, we would be on a mountain switchback trail and would see him on another mountainside a quarter mile away and 10 minutes later he'd be next to us, smiling at us wondering "why are you so slow, C'mon!" Had him for 10 years and it absolutely crushed me when he died, the neighbors probably thought a tree fell on someone when I buriled him in our backyard. I have a black and white drawing of him I look at every few years and still get choked up and it was 30 years and multiple pets ago. They are part of our families and chapters in our lives.

This made me cry so muccchhh, I felt their happiness in my heaaartttt😭❤️

Having to say goodbye to my dog and best friend was without a doubt one of the most difficult things I’ve ever had to do. It’s been 3 years and I’m still hoping that I’ll be over his death and ready to love another dog as much as I loved him. RIP Maverick. Daddy loves you so much!

All the humans here were actually adopted by the puppies as that's how it usually works. The pet chooses you. Nothing wrong with adults reacting like kids when a new doggie arrives. I love it.
