I have covered two Best Nahari in Delhi one is Haji Shabrati Nihari and the other is Hilal Nahari. There are many shops preparing nihari I have tried Purani Dilli Ki Asli Nahari. Nahari is the most loved breakfast in Old Delhi.
Both are amazing in taste and my favourite none is lesser than the other and both are Famous Jama Masjid Nahari which is the best old Delhi Street Food Enjoy the video

@qureshi076 adaab. Do you mean to say that Shri Zainul Abedeen sahab is not the descendent of the original owner of Kareem Hotel?? As far as I know Kareem Hotel is being run by this same family since it's origin. My birthplace is old dilli and two hotels I have seen flourishing together, Kareem Hotel and Moti Mahal in Darya Ganj.

Well I agree with Bhaijaan!! I have travelled the lengths and breaths of the globe and India and after having Lucknow ki Nihari (the most talked about is Idrees) and hydrabadi nahari . I have found none to be even close to the Delhi Nahari . Sad but after spending my childhood in Delhi, I have come back to my motherland and all that I miss in Delhi Nahari is surly topping the list . I’m so tempted that I can travel 500km any day to eat Nahari . Sadly this pandemic is ruining it all . May god save us all👍🏻

Karachi food is mostly from Delhi India. Here we have authentic Nihari restaurants like Javed Nihari, Zahid Nihari both of them are originally migrants from India. Must try when you visit Pakistan.

Well I am from Delhi and a lover of nihari, I have had hilal, sabrati, karim and alzawahar nihari and many others of old delhi. But my favourite one is Noora Nihari of Barahindu Roa. Always have it with nalli. 😊😊

Best Urdu is spoken in India- Lucknow
There is one in Karachi by the name of Mail k Nihari. It’s an authentic reference for me. I am sure old Dehli would be a different level but my family is from Dehli and ours is quite good as well.

Absolutely incorrect. Nihari was discovered in Delhi by the Royal chefs’ of Delhi Mughals. The idea indeed was to feed the workers with a meal high in calories so that they could work longer. However, it is really a personal choice to have it with butter or ghee. Lucknow has its own version of nihari but it would be incorrect to say that Lucknow’s Nihari is original or that Nihari was discovered in Lucknow.

Relax guys! The term 'authentic dish' is nonsense actually. Nobody knows or understands what authentic version actually was cuz it doesn't exist. Jahan ki jo pasand aajaye bas which achhi hai. Authentic ke name pe bas bewkoof banaya jaata hai to be honest.
Many of the favourite dishes in Pakistan such as Nihari, Haleem, Biryani, Pilau, Shami Kabob, Sheermal, Bhakharkhani can be traced back to Delhi, Awadh & Hyderabad.

My elders were migrated from old Delhi to Dhaka then to Karachi, we have still a house in masjid wali Gali perhaps but abandoned and taken away , still relatives are there, may Allah Subhan bless them, a little foggy memories I have, what a golden era was that. I visited the site in 1970.

You can taste one of the best Naharis of Kolkata in Sufiya opposite Nakhoda Masjid.. if you ever come to Kolkata in Winter don't miss it!!
