Even I had toured Lucknow a month back just to explore these delicacies. Went to Idris, Wahid, Lalla, Raheem, Tunday K, Dastarkha and others in a single day. Loved biryani in Idris, but have to say, the biryani made in Tunday Kababi was par tasty than others. Idris was also a wonderful experience, got 1 kg packed there.

Pulao is something in which meat and rice is cooked together but In Biryani they are cooked separated then combine and dum it up. So for me it’s a biryani

@@shaikhfaizan3405 we Lucknowi cook rice separately and yakhni separately. There’s also many types of yakhni. Biryani yakhni is like salan with milk. Then we fuse the flavours together in dum. If you cook raw rice in yakhni it will taste different. And that’ll be a pulao

Got a chance to explore Lucknow qnd its food last month. Visited varuous outlets like Idris, Wahid, Raheem, Dastarkha, Tunfay Kababi, Dastarkhan and other more. I had a wonderful experienc3 there and I was so satisfied with every dish I've tasted there. Definitely would visit there often and one of my Top 3 best cities for food

Now a days , some peoples are collecting dead bodies of Dogs, Bull, or any from roadsides or remote areas & supplying to big hotel chain as a fresh meat...that hotels mixing the meat of these dead animals in *biryani, or any Non veg dishes* &&& peoples are eating with appreciation to hotels.... This is facts , found in Goa & may be all over Indian hotels.. Very Good 👍

For me the best biriyani that I have eaten anywhere.. since Kolkata biriyani is an adaptation of Awadhi biriyani (having come through the cooks of Wajid Ali Shah when he was exiled to Matiya Burj), couple of Kolkata joints come close. Kolkata used Mawa/khoa and some even use milk powder, while Lucknow uses milk and balai/malai - but these are only two biriyani that add milk solids to yakhanj and then cook the biriyani in that.
