Regarding some questions you have: 1. Desti and Axol are characters who appears in the Arcs you have yet to watch. Desti having been introduced in the same video as Meggy and acted as a rival to her. While Axol got introduced in the Anime Arc. Of course, you know that they're both dead thanks to the spoilers this movie gives you. But hey, everyone who misses them are happy that they got a brief return. 2. Wern got introduced in SMG4: Mario Babies when everyone was looking back at their childhood. With Mario having found some of Meggy's childhood photos. 3. Tari going into simulations is a nice call back to her Metarunner abilities which fans of the webseries haven't seen in a while. 4. My working theory is that Adware, the thing that SMG4 bought his keyboard from in IT GOT TO BE PERFECT, is the same force behind the machine that Wern used in this movie. As seen by how Wern ended up gettting a letter that has a TV. 5. Wern's Voice Actor is Sean Chiplock

Your theory makes alot of sense and also that would mean like how that keyboard made smg4s goal (to make the perfect video) an obsession that he starts to go insane for, wrens goal of becoming well known and powerful again became an obsession and went insane for. Another thing to add on to this is how smg4s keyboard started to hurt him and if you notice at the end when wren is in his pod hes slowly melting.

Desti actually was introduced in 'if Mario was in Splatoon 2' if I'm remember correctly from there on Desti and Meggy became rivals, troughout the 'anime arc' they become something like frenemies and then...well Desti got killed from the arc's villain francis. Axol is someone who was introduced in the anime arc (somewhere at the begining) and yes, he got killed in the genesis arc a few arcs after the anime arc, oh boy...how I miss those two...it was nice to see them as guests in this video

This was a great movie, but I honestly prefer It’s Gotta Be Perfect. Wren was possibly the best SMG4 Villain yet. The only problem is Meggy, she has been the main character of basically everything recently. And she even already had her own movie.

She hasn’t been the main character in everything recently. It’s been tari recently because they wanted to give her more character development. The reason why meggy has been appearing mostly is because she plays a huge role in Tari’s character development

Wren has to be the most sadistic SMG4 villain. He killed Meggy over and over and over again for an entire month straight, making her go paranoid and insane!

And now you Know Axol and Desti's fate. I knew it was a bad idea to start from this late. I feel bad because you were robbed of the blind experience for those moments. That aside, this isn't over. Someone more dangerous is out there. Someone clearly gave that tech to Wren and knew he was in a vulnerable state where he could be driven insane. He was just a test subject, and it makes me worry how far the next threat will go compared to Wren. He became so twisted that he made simulations of Meggy's dead friends. I feel especially bad for Tari because she held of them in her arms after they were struck down and she was breaking down when she saw them in the corner of her eye while struggling with control of her body. We'll have to wait and see for this new threat because this threat is still unknown. It's probably a ways away but we shouldn't let our guards down just because this is over. That didn't go so well two years ago. I hope I'm wrong but a pattern is developing When Tari got her moments to shine it was a nice touch to add a hint of the Meta Runner theme. Meta Runner might be over but it lives on. The voice actors did a really good job this time around as well.
