Love the "behind the seat" camera position. You can actually see how the car behaves instead of looking at a guys face. I never understood why nobody else does it.

By far the coolest EVO vid ever! Well done and as a long time Best Motoring viewer/collector I can appreciate all of the likeness. Please continue this and make it a series that happens once a month in all forms of cars. I think you guys are on to something. What a perfect format for exciting car racing/reviewing.

This was brilliant. I've scoured KZread for pretty much all the Best Motoring videos I could find over the past 2 years and I think I've run out. A recurring British version would be epic!

HyperLeafBlower They mostly tested Japanese cars, but I wouldn't say at all it was biased towards Japanese cars, quite the opposite. I remember how much shit they gave the GT-R, Lexus IS-F, Lancer Evo X, etc. when they compared it to European cars... and I loved the talk they once had about Ferrari. You can tell Japanese are very respectful.

Yes! BMI and Hotversion are amazing! They totally deserve this tribute. This is great man, my current favourite car vid maker tributing my old favourite one.

The essence of best motoring has been captured perfectly! Would love to see Tsuchiya in this series maybe as a special guest, that would be brilliant. With regards to Top Gear, it's an entertainment TV show and its good at it. It has got nothing to do with sheer motoring. So no point trying to put BMI in the same category.

As a big fan of Best Motoring and they're quirkiness yet serious on the limit races, this episode by EVO was simply brilliant! Its nice to see a car show that mixes some humour with proper racing... Please more vidoes like this, I might suggest other similar comparo races. Again Brilliant video

Awesome tribute! Best Motoring was best motoring. And they're saying theyll do one again! YES, please! Not only was this a superb tribute, especially the intro (keep doing it like that) but the whole BMI style of these circuit races with slightly dissimilar cars is great as well. I think we'd all very much enjoy these BMI tribute races to become a regular thing :)

I miss BMI and their detailed explanation of each car, even down to the spring stiffness. It angers me how dumbed down other shows such as Top Gear have gotten, where some stupid old man simply says "its fast".

They also tested crazy fast cars on tracks that essentially violated every single FIA track requirement ever. It was amazing. 700hp R34 on street tires at Tsukuba.

I try to tell people Top Gear is dumbed down but they can't imagine anyone disapproving of the show. I'm just not interested in show after show doing pointless challenges like racing trains, airplanes or driving volvos through jungles. makes no sense and the humor is so forced.

***** Millions of people watched Jersey Shore and the Kardashians, by your logic I suppose those must be great shows as well because of course, the masses don't lie. People still watch mainstream cable news...which we know are only notorious for being dishonest and misleading. My point is just because an army of people rally behind something as a 'good thing' doesn't make it so, that's merely a safety in numbers mentality. Enough people think the world is flat so it must be true right? wrong.

Evo team does it again, this was higly entertaining, just shows 300hp cars are very fun cars on the race track. While 500-600hp cars are the normal in this generation, we can always revert back to lower spec cars and appreciate and learn from them. This channel is really thinking outside the box.

heh very kewl guys, man I miss BMI and their races. And maybe look also at some other of their tests, they had it worked out and it was very interesting to watch. So please do more of this and without the race cars(except on occasion), just regular sports cars in a friendly shootout. It was so fun seeing BMI races, how the big bhp cars took the lead on straights, how ever present lotuses or nsxs passed on tight corners... Im sure everyone would love to see modern cars in such races. Though I understand that besides cars, getting a wide enough,fast and open track might be a problem.

Best Motoring is actually the best. So this video is the best i've ever seen on EVO channel. Thumbs up boys, bring more videos like this one and you will find a lot of old happy kids wacthing them! Just be more "technical" with car description.

I hope Evo integrates this format to the regular "evo track battle" videos. BMI had its unique eastern flavor and evo might come up with a western style track battles. they don't have to be as dramatic or comical but there is a good number of people who would appreciate people racing cars on a track. time attacks are also decent but racing them together has its own entertainment value.
