    I always enjoy your videos Mike and this one is no exception. It’s quite informative as it shows the viewer how the Pitbull lift can be used with the Goldwing. This video also reminds me of the very first video that I ever watched of yours which was the one about how to put the Goldwing on its center stand. That video, like this, had many different camera angles which allowed the viewer to really understand what’s was going on. Thanks again Mike for this video and keep up the excellent work.

    Thank Mike. I looked at both PitBull and J&S. Both were impacted by COVIT and did not have their products available. I went with the J&S with the Goldwing adapter both are great and J&S has a smaller footprint. Both cater motor to Harleys which do not have their exhaust pipes exposed s do the Goldwings. The 2018 plus under side fitment is different and it took some practice to find the sweet point placement. Pricing for either is expensive and wait times may be a bit lengthy. I ordered last Feb and took delivery in late June. Not sure about PitBull.

    Great video Mike. Your spot on with the information. The following was not a Pit Bull lift. On one of my old lifts one bolt broke on the hydrlic unit and my wing crashed to the floor. The hydrlic unit is only connected by two bolts. Same on pitbull. Locks to prevent a drop were in place. They failed as the hydrlic unit lost base support. I think this was MY FAULT. Maybe the bolt was getting loose and I did not do my checks on my tool (the lift). Will never know but I take the blame. So peeps checks your nuts 😆. Again thank you Mike.

    I have the lift table that Harbor Freight sells. The only thing is its not wide enough to ride bike onto it. So, I made side support foot stands for both sides to hold my feet as I ride up the ramp. I also took the vice tire holder off and installed a Condor ride in chock. Harbor Freight sells one similar to the Condor for like $80. They both work well and a lot cheaper than professional lift tables. @@MemphisMike901

    It looks like the link for pit bull is defunct. Is the company still around ? I just bought a Sears Craftsman motorcycle jack that was several years old as there are no new Craftsman jacks in any inventory anymore. I chose the old Craftsman because many of the current models are cheezed down on quality. The new ones have much less metal, and the designs have shrunk down the heavy gage main frame with less bracing and no metal around the front wheels. The Craftsman jack is a beast and weighs almost 90 lbs and is probably 10 to 30 pounds more than the Harbor Freight and all the other knock offs. So, this gave me the opportunity to buy the best at less costs and clean it up and refurbish it which I've done. I first sanded all the rust off the frame with small wire wheels and flap wheels on my drill. Then use Rust-Oleum (Rusty Metal Primer) on the whole frame followed by the Rust-Oleum Semi-Gloss Black brush on topcoat. The red parts I bought a spray can of "Cherry Red" Rust-Oleum metal paint and sanded down all the rust and sprayed that on. Next a lot of the hardware was working but looked bad - especially the Acorn Nuts used on all the pivot points. I bought new stainless Acorn Nuts and some lock and flat washers and got rid of all the rusty bits. On the platform top where the motorcycle sits, I replaced the rusty Acorn nuts with some stainless-steel lifting triangle shaped eyelet nuts. The Craftsman has all M12 heavy duty fasteners. The triangle (eyelets) can be attached to the bike at first contact and the bike will not go anywhere during the lifting process unlike the loops down on the base cannot be used until the bike is fully up in the air. I've posted the final assembly build and modified skid plate on a Kawasaki Versys X300 to allow it to be lifted up in the air. The video is on my channel - LINK: kzread.info/dash/bejne/jIN6yqprqry3qbA.html&ab_channel=trekOCLVone

    all lifts make me nervous. You just can’t have one style of lift. If you put your wing or similar motorcycle up on this type of lift, how do you get the faring off along the bottom. How do you change the oil, how do you take the exhaust system off, the side that the lift mechanism to operate the lift cuts off access to that side of the engine.ect.. if you have to remove the rear wheel, or the front end to do steering head bearings, now you have to worry about the machine becoming unstable/heavy on one end There is no one Jack/lift fits all. You have to have this type, a lift table, you also have to have the handiest lift I have found for lifting a machine like a Gold Wing or a Venture. On eBay search 1100 pound scissor lift. They cost under $50/with free shipping. there are a few different styles, search the selection on eBay and make sure you get the one with the two adjustable perches that adjust the perch for location to contact the frame and height of each perch so the bike lifts level. But one style of lift or Jack is not enough. Different jobs require different lifts..I have all three styles of lifts, and they all make me nervous .. I have a industrial grade handy lift table. The problem with that is, I have to pull the lift table outside to lift a machine like the Gold Wing or a machine with a windshield on it up high , Because the windshield will strike my garage door or my ceiling if I take it up too high... I have the style of the one in this video also, the problem with that one is, the mechanism is in the way on one side of the bike, and it is very hard to get the machine stable or to find a safe place to place the stand under the machine to do the lift. The style of Lyft that I have is actually the one I have not used for years. The stand I use most is the 1100 pound motorcycle scissor lift for under $50 I found on eBay. I think it weighs about 30 pounds. It is industrial heavy duty catcher. I think it gets the back wheel off the ground about at least 10 inches and maybe as much as 14 inches depending on the motorcycle. It is small enough that it will actually fit in the trunk of my Gold Wing ... I know this because I had to go on a mercy call to assist a friend who had a rear flat tire on his Harley, and we all know they do not have Center stands. I went to assist him in removing his rear wheel With my Lyft that I bought on eBay, and I carried the scissor lift in the trunk of my Gold Wing with no problem

    Not all jobs require a lift. I have changed oil/brake pads/tires/plugs all on the Lift as well as detailing. A table would be my next choice. A $50 lift for my bike would not even consider.

    @harrylime5147

    MemphisMike You are right. You don’t need a lift for every job. you really should take a look at the scissor lift on eBay.. I showed a buddy of mine that owns a collision shop for cars and motorcycles and he owns quite a few bikes. When he saw me demonstrate mine, he bought 10 of them. I have used mine for a couple years with my Yamaha venture that did not come with a center stand unfortunately. it looks like a miniature handy lift.. The steel on the smaller lift is actually thicker than the steel of my handy lift. i’m guessing 3/sixteenths thick steel. it has two adjustable perches made of three-quarter inch bolts with saddles on top of the bolts that you can adjust the height to meet the frame. I worked as a welder in a steel fabricating shop for three years making scaffolding to construct liquid natural gas tankers. I know heavy duty when I see it. you really should take a look at it. It is a must have tool .. but you have to look at the correct one. It has the two slidable mounts for the perches with the saddles on top. I used it to park my venture for the winter on, as well as remove the rear wheel, or hold the machine level for performing maintenance, since doing things like oil changes with the side stand is a pain in the ass sometimes.. The title of the search for an eBay starts with 1100 pound motorcycle scissor lift. I’m not selling them on eBay, I’m just trying to pass a tip on. I’ve turned quite a few of my friends onto them that have machines with that center stands and all of them have bought these..You should take a look before saying no. just sayin

    Yes you can use it on the lift when changing the oil . in fact the last oil changed I did put it up on the lift. pitbull also does make an adapter drain flow if you wish to attach it to the lift to make it easier.

    About the spring, can you just not position the Jack so that it doesn't stick out far enough to interfere with the spring? I have an $89 HF Jack that has been lifting my 950 lb. Bikes for the last 10 years with no issues. Have wanted to upgrade so as to be able to move it while lifted. My floor is smooth and painted but moving while lifted is nearly impossible. It looks like that Jack rolls very easily. Thanks for the great video.
