I'm looking for a monitor that satisfies both photography and 4K video editing for professionals. From what I've researched so far, I think four models of BenQ, monitors, PD2720U, PD3220U, SW271, SW320 are the most suitable for me, but I don't know which one to choose. Any suggestions please?

Great (enthusiastic) review!! I have been looking at a 2K monitor from BenQ as I have been warned that the Photoshop and Lightroom on screen text for the various modules is too hard to read. You didn't mention that - but maybe your eyes are better than mine.

How can you control 2 computers from 1 monitor, Benq only comes with 1 upstream port and cable? I don't remember they mentioned we need any extra gadget. I have 2 computers and I'm only able to control one of them through the monitor.

Except this particular one is not accurate at all. We're talking 100% sRGB, which is the entry level of the entry level. What you want is 100% of AdobeRGB (or close). It's is also 8bits + FRC not truly 10bits. This monitor is the cheap version of the Benq SW321C.

Great monitor! I personally use two 27inch, 2K BenQ pro monitors for my photo editing. These monitors also provide great color and come with built in calibrator. Allowing me to check the color on a fly.

The monitor *not* having a slot for a camera memory card seems super nitpicky, Jesus? Every laptop and iMac has such a slot ... and wouldn't putting the card into the computer's slot be faster than using a monitor's slot?

I worked on a BENQ 2700 for a while and the difference to my collegues EIZO was barely noticeable. However the environment of our customer changed and basically requires us to use EIZO monitors now, so I got one with a built in calibration tool and that's a big upgrade as calibrating the BENQ was a bit of a hassle. BENQ is making decent displays for the price though.

I've been using a BENQ BL2700 for a few years now and am still very happy with it. I like the fact you have been using it for 5 months before doing this review, as too many reviews are straight out of the box. People need time to use and find faults if there are any. Would I buy this monitor? Yes in a heartbeat if I could afford it or BENQ would like to send me one / two as I also use a 27" Samsung not as good but still OK S27F350 but I was still working when these were purchased.

Hi, good review. In the review you mention a 95% Adobe RGB color coverage. I think you possibly mean 95%DCI-P3? The info I find online always mentions about 80% Adobe Rgb coverage. (but of course, you only buy this monitor when using sRGB )

Reviewing this monitor without mentioning the Benq SW271 (27") and the Benq SW321C (32") is a big oversight. For serious work, 100% sRGB means nothing. This PD3220U is also 8bits + FRC (not 10bits). Really the entry level (very expensive entry level). SW271 and SW321C are the 100% AdobeRGB, true 10 bits versions.

Great review, Jesus, thank you. However, when I went to the link you provided it says the 32 inch is unavailable and Amazon does not know when or if it will be available again. But, they're not the only game in town. $1200 is a bit steep for me as I am retired, but Photoshop and photography are my passions so I will consider it in the future.

Dear Sir...I am one of your fans from India. I thank you for all the great tutorials. I am looking for a big-screen hi-end laptop dedicatedly for my Photoshop work. Now I know you use MSI and honestly that is out of budget for me. However recently Dell has introduced XPS 17 9700 which seems to be awesome as a 4K 17-inch laptop with 100% Adobe RGB support. Can you kindly take a glance to it and confirm if its a good buy. It is not yet in Indian market but want to get it as soon as it releases in India. Love & Regards....

People please be aware that windows funky scaling 'MAY' make the icons in Photoshop hard or uncomfortable to use at 4K. I'm not faulting BenQ for this but at the price it is a thing you should check up on. If you don't have the eyesight of an army sniper you could get tripped up.

I'm just looking for a reasonably priced 32 inch monitor around £500 which has (zero pathetic ghosting, zero sick smearing, zero northern lights bleed, zero dead pixels & zero quality control issues). Rich blacks, vivid colours & contrast without being OLED burn in issues & fantastic super fast refresh rates well below the false advertised 1ms so tell me please where can anyone, not just myself find one of those? The monitor market is a complete lottery of a joke, with so many customers being scammed made a mockery of left right & centre with this repeatative bullshit. Has been like this since the end of CRT days. We can have the best computer in the world yet the thing we all look at most is nowhere to be seen.

Are you kidding me with this video? You state a review of the BenQ monitor yet you don't show the monitor and 95% of the 10 minute video is a view of your face and use stock images that actually anyone could do a fake review of? Did you really have the monitor? One of the worst reviews I have ever seen and when comparing to other BenQ reviews of this monitor this is at the bottom of the pile. You have not shown anything that is helpful and again mention bad points but dont show your personal examples lol what a joke and to add a link for a commission without mention it oh my.. no words to describe this video.
