I started using minolta, I'm glad that there are still a lot of people interested in minolta

That AI voice was unbearable. And what was up with constantly showing different types of lenses many of which were not even Minolta? I have absolutely no faith in any of the information in this video.

Your section on the 28mm f/2.8 switches between images of the correct lens and a Nikon lens, and then at the end of the segment refers to it as an f/1.4 lens. 🥴

I don't think so... the 10 lenses above aren't the best lenses... they are only average. Best Minolta AF lenses are: 16mm F2.8 Fisheye, 28mm F2 RS, 35mm F2 RS, 50mm F1.4 RS, 85mm F1.4 RS or Limited D, 100mm F2, 100mm F2.8 Macro, 80-200mm F2.8 HS APO G, 200mm F2.8 HS APO G, 200mm F4 Macro, 300mm F2.8 HS APO G, 400mm F4.5 HS APO G, 600mm F4 HS APO G. These are the primes of Minolta AF-System... if you are looking for zoomes, then you should take theese ones: 35-105 F3.5-4.5 (first version), 80-200 HS APO G (white version)

135mm f2.8 is said to be very good also.

This was my impression too. I had to translate, which is roughly this: "From what I see here... I doubt you have tried these lenses and ever owned them. What he did was search the internet for information about these lenses and put them in a video, having, by the way, several errors." There doesn't seem to be any first-hand knowledge here, just copying other sources.

@@tarzanxx I started with a Sony a100 camera and a Minolta 7000i, with some Minolta lenses. Over the years I have researched a lot of information on Minolta lenses, apart from my own experience, and this review has no soul, it only scratches the surface of various reviews which, in turn, may perhaps be copies of copies... but clearly this user does not bring a real experience.

I think the 35mm f2 lens should have featured here as well. Matched with any Sony FF camera, it is a real joy to use.

can you use the minolta af 28mm 49mm on an pl mount cinema cam like the blackmagic ursa 12k? i would like to use some surrealistic or nostalgic lenses on this cam but i dont get it if that works.

All Minolta af lenses are full frame except the ones with mark DT lenses, that special for APSC

If you think 85mm f/1.4 the no.1, I think you don't have 100mm f/2, 135mm f/2 MD,35mm f/1.4 g ,35mm f/2, and also try 135mm stf,this quality almost same with md f/2. If you try those lenses your best rank will change dramatically.

At close to $7,000.00, one would have to be insane to purchase that 135mm F/2. When you could buy the Samyang 135mm F/1.8 for far less and it would optically blow it away.

In 2023 I only recommending WHITE minolta lenses + couple of old school like 500 mirror, 100 & 50 macro, 70-210 f4, 80-200 f2.8 and black primes with light better than 2.8...

An AI review - utter c**p. Three different 35-105s pictured, including a Nikon. Starts the 70-210/4 section with a Vivitar. You couldn't make it up - except they did.
