I personally like the warmer sound on the Sennheiser, it'll go very well with singers who have big voices and bright timbres.

@@MoreKornflakes You can't really compare these two microphones. The MK4 is $299 and the TLM 102 is $1299... The TLM is by far a better sound microphone... and it's Neumann!

If you don't mind me asking why do you have two sets of Yamaha speakers it looks like you got the bigger size speakers but then it looks like you also have a smaller set just curious of to why are they just separate speakers so you can listen to or they connected all four

I have the MK4 and man I love the audio it just makes me want to upgrade to an actual Neumann TLM 102 microphone now if it weren’t for me getting the MK4 I wouldn’t never notice any difference from all the other mics ! The MK4 is for sure a beginners in audio files to get use to hearing sound qualities , the MK8 I find sounds better in your voice than the Neumann :)

Definitely get the Neumann TLM 102!! It's my go to for voice over. It's really the best microphone you can go for, especially for the price!! The Sennheiser MK4 is good, but the Neumann is in another class to be honest! If you're looking to buy the Neumann, please use the link in the description. I really wishing , I can have sa microphones like that...

The 102 not only has far more clarity, but is creamier. The sound is more glued... Some folks need to remember that using an EQ in post can fix certain aspects of a mic you may not like. Having said that, you can't enhance cream on a mic, nor clarity. The 102 is easily the winner here as far as pure sound.

thats a different in the high ends but for the prices difference you put the high ends with an eq and the MK8 is close

MK8 is better for me. But the TLM 102 is nice too.

I like the Sennheisser for this song, but it sounds like the TLM102 would work better for other kinds of songs. The TLM 102 sounds much more natural by far. if it was A Capella, the TLM 102 hands-down

For me..the MK8 sounds identical to the Mk4 in the cardioid pattern.. This'll place it above the NT1A. I have them both... The senn in my ear seems both smoother and warmer..it was just easier to listen to. IMO the only step up from the MK4/8 is the tlm 102/103....So for $300 of MIC alone in comparison to the rode kit for 229...i would choose the mk4 first.

I prefer the frequency response graph of the Sennheiser. My ears prefer the Neumann.

Dude I buy the Neumann TLM 102 & it is so harsh on my vocals. I have a cheaper hand held Sennheiser microphone and its way smoother and sound better. I guess it depends on the preamp you use the tlm 102 with.

Tlm 102 won hands down. Already sounds polished. Less work needed in post. MK 8 was a bit to dark for my liking. Tlm 102 sounds so smooth and record/ radio ready
