Since i’ve had the worst and cheapest mattress for about 5 years and can’t get myself to choose a new one, i think a mattress topper is a good alternative! I’m definitely going to rewatch this video a few times and decide on one to give me some more comfort till i get a new mattress! Thanks guys. Another great video !

We used a Saatva topper (the foam one) and my husband didn’t like it. I thought it was okay. I think it would be a genius idea to have toppers have different/split firmness to accommodate couples.

I’m so glad you guys finally reviewed toppers! My current bed was unbearable before my serta topper. I like the sound of the Layla topper being responsive for side sleepers, however $300 is a bit much... might as well buy the mattress at that point.

The viscosoft serene looks great and i do use a mattress topper always since i like extra soft feel. And the sheet over the viscosoft is also a plus.

I think mattress toppers are great especially as a college student, since I could not replace the bed in the dorms. I used a topper + extender mattress for my last school year and it made a world of difference in my sleep. Now i am in a position to furnish my first apartment so i can get the full mattress but I might still get a topper because of the convenience

I think toppers are great because they can further personalize a mattress for someone's specific needs. I utilize one now and it's been saving my back until I can get a new mattress!

I love watching and listening to TSY's videos to gather information about which mattress is the best bet for me. So it surprised me to hear JD suggest that instead of going through the "whole returns process" if you've bought a mattress that doesn't work for you, you might want to buy a topper to make it better. Personally, I'd rather find a mattress that works. I don't want to keep spending money and I don't want my bed to be any higher than it already is! The pockets on fitted sheets are only so deep after all.

I think matress toppers are a great idea to change up the feel of the matress. The Casper topper is the one I will probably go with if I were to buy one.

I would choose either the Casper or the Birch topper! I have tried lots of Novaform toppers from Costco but did not like them. I prefer when there is some pushback!

I just bought the Viscosoft high density as shown here only in Lavender and it cost $109 for a queen from Amazon. Unbelievable value. Turned my very firm mattress into a plush med-firm one. Really helps with my lower back pain.

I used a memory foam topper in the past and never really enjoyed it cause it made my bed warmer than I’d like. But maybe the latex one would be good for a future bed if needed!

If you're not in the market or cannot afford to buy a new mattress, as they are quite the investment I think mattress toppers can help prolong the life of your current mattress. after taking a back pain class, I've also learned that this is great way to know if you're one to prefer a softer or firmer mattress (based on what type of topper you get) which is a great way to figure that out before investing in a new bed

I've been using a Sleep on Latex organic latex topper.It's my most comfortable sleeping surface ever.

I think this is a great idea for those not ready to purchase a new mattress, however anything over $200 seems steep for a topper, unless you really don’t like your new mattress and it’s past the try out period.

I never thought of using a mattress topper. But after watching this, i wonder if using one can improve my current mattress.

I have tried a mattress topper because I didn't want make the leap and buy a brand new mattress. The topper on my friend's bed made their bed super firm, so I thought mine would do the same. However, my topper was way to squishy memory foam. It was supposed to me firm, but it wasn't. I slept well on it, but 3-4 months it caused me pain because it was too soft. I would only buy a mattress topper again if I can feel it first.

What would this feel like on top of med firm gel memory foam mattress. I'm looking to lay more on top than in.

Matress toppers is a great way to make your bed better without buying a new mattress. I am so glad I watched this. There are some really good toppers out there.

I always use a mattress topper for any innerspring mattress. Mine was necessary back in college. I notice the shape of a topper can affect the look of a larger bed. So maybe rounded corner toppers do not go well with angular ones and vice versa.

How was it?

I paid $1000 bucks for a hand-crafted organic cotton/wool hyper-allergenic mattress but my back issues have gotten worse since I purchased it. It's comfortable to sleep in but I still wake up with back and hip pain. I can't afford another mattress so the topper is the way to go. I think I'll give the Layla topper a try since you get a full refund if it doesn't work out and the reviews are great from back suffers and side-sleepers. Thanks so much for this review!

I haven’t really considered a topper. Some I have talked to have the opinion toppers ruin beds. Regardless, I would be interested in the Birch Latex topper. It’s organic and latex without the heavier price of a full mattress.

Do you have a review of the Allswell 3in topper? I want that locked-in/sinking Tempur Pedic feel without the Tempur pricing. Is Allswell as close as it gets for sub 150usd (Queen sz) or is there another brand you'd recommend?

I love mattress toppers and am always trying to find the perfect one. Even when I have a great mattress, I rely on toppers to give me sufficient contouring and softness. I have the Layla topper and it’s amazing when I’m on my side. I’d really like to try the Casper topper and wonder what that rates on the firmness scale. I also like the structure of the Visco topper.

I have had a mattress topper in the past but I’d rather put my money toward a new mattress. It’s a good option if you can’t get a new Mattress though.

I mainly do not like mattress toppers in that they are to costly and should save up and buy a bed. I do have an old bed though that the one from allswell might be nice for it though as it will be some time before I can purchase a new bed.

Giveaway: I found an article a while back about layering mattress toppers to get the most comfort, and that's what I've been doing. My bottom is a memory form, topped with an egg crate, and topped further with a pillow top. This has allowed me to use a cheap mattress without too much pain,

I dunno. But sleeping on the side isn't good. Back sleeping is what 10/10 doctors recommend.

Mattress toppers saved me in college, but I hope I'll be able to buy a mattress good enough that I won't need one in the future

I think they are a good idea 💡 if you can’t afford a brand new bed for sure! Also, they can possibly improve your quality of sleep if you don’t have a bed you currently “love!” They are pretty cool! Better than just the old memory foam ones they used to sell years ago!

I have a firm mattress now. 3 yrs old. I need a topper that’s soft and cold.

My pillow topper is excellent it is foam which lasts a whole lot longer and ls comfortable.memory foam sinks in, is hot and doesn’t last. Memory foam is over rated and a money maker for greedy companies.

Mattress toppers would be a less expensive choice when looking at buying a mattress. These look like very nice toppers.

I didn't even know mattess toppers existed. I'm reading in the comments that it comes in handy with old mattresses or while in college, so that makes sense. Personally, if I'm going to buy a good mattress, I shouldn't be spending extra in mattress topers.
