    Great video. Good to see products in action and being used by a professional detailer. Much better than all the affiliate sites that rank on Google and just regurgitate manufacturer descriptions and Amazon reviews. Keep up the good work and best of luck in all your business ventures!

    I have 20 plus year old leather seats in 2 of my older trucks I'm a mechanic so I clean them a ton and my experience leather cleaner then leather conditioner works better to protect and keep grease and everything off the seats and keeps them from cracking over a protectant used on vehicle paint I have had amazing success with chemical guys products there vinyl rubber and plastic works amazing drys with no residue and lasts months and it works well

    I totally agree about your replacement point. Super clean and 303 protectant account for like 80 percent of my product use. I've bought almost everything out there and I've whittled it all down as time goes on. Have you tried protect-all? Also works good on leather. And stuff that might get splashed. Feels more substantial than the normal megs synthetic spray wax

    This is actually really useful for a lot of people. I’m one who get over whelm with which stuff to buy. Usually just end up going with big names I’m very familiar with. I have a 2019 car. Bought it new. Is it to early to put on a wax for paint protection ? I just like keeping up with my car and keeping it clean. Any recommendations on wax for just paint protection

  • @burgholte

    @burgholte

    Sam Dequina It’s never too early to put on a wax, you want to start protecting paint as soon as possible. When it comes to waxes, there are so many products out there that you can try to use. You said you only want to keep it protected and clean, so I would recommend something easy to apply, maybe a spray wax or something like Meguiars quick detailer. If you want actual carnauba wax, you could go for something like collinite 915, 845 (if you want it liquid) or 476s, not too expensive and they have a long history. Everybody has their own preferences though, some people prefer natural carnauba, others prefer synthetic, if you’re just a hobby detailer from time to time, it probably doesn’t matter

    Great video Mr Wilson. I do have a question.......... Will the Meguiars Synthetic Xpress Spray Wax make the seats slippery? I have used that product in the past on the paint, and I really like the way it works, but never tried it on the leather. I don't care for a slippery seat, so if it does, could you recommend something else to condition my leather seats?

Let me ask you...i have the MEgs natural protectant it is phenomenal product, i using this product for my black interior plastiks vinal e.t.c....but i have noticed that is fails -streakes in the arm rest , the center of stearing wheell and some other areas that i touch a lot, in 2-3 weeks after the aplication............this is normal because it is a water based product and it needs to reaplicate more often??????????? Clean and properly conditioned leather will smell like 'leather'. Stick your head into a properly maintained Rolls-Royce of ANY age and you'll know what I am talking about. Anything with a fragrance or perfume incorporated into the product is covering-up something (chemical smells, etc.)

    Pretty much all auto manufacturers use coated leather for their leather seats and leather trim (consoles, steering wheel wrap, etc). That means a plastic coating over the leather hide. Nothing really does much to soften, and protect coated leather, however some products will make it look uniform and smell nice.

  • @wilsonautodetailing

    @wilsonautodetailing

    I think maybe the question your asking is leather that is protected and then leather that is exposed, and the answer is no, exposed leather like the king ranch leather doesn’t act the same at all and really can’t be cleaned, and the point really is not to, because the more. Worn it gets the more distressed it looks and that’s what they want

  • @TheTrueAdonis1

    @TheTrueAdonis1

    Incorrect. "Saddle Leather" should be regularly treated and cleaned as a horse saddle should. Look for products that will not darken such as Fiebings, cleaner and conditioner for tack. With that said, the "King Ranch Leather" is simulated "Saddle Leather" but you could still follow tack protocols. Leaving it to rot and not clean it is just silly.

    Bollox. You can’t “Condition” or “Feed” car leather seats. They have a very thin plastic coating on them to protect them. And please don’t say the products penetrate it. They don’t. They can’t. All your doing is cleaning and treating that plastic top layer. Cleaning it is fine. Don’t know how you’d “Condition” plastic though!!
