For just a little over $200 USD that isn't all that bad a price for a great quality knife. I have knives that I gladly payed over $700 USD for and the Bark River Gunny Scandi - CPM 3V would likely out preform it.

Great channel. Knife reviewers / bushcraft channels are a dime a dozen. Somehow you guys have managed to elevate your game to another level - great music, good editing, and plenty of humor. A well-earned additional subscriber!

Great video....it's always great fun to see a notification from DBK in the inbox
"You're the best no you're the best" scene with old time lantern has got to be one of the funniest clips ever in DBK history, instant laugh
2:21 That's how you cook hot dogs.
The editing on this video was actually amazing! So impressed for a knife review channel haha. Like at 3:54 timing it with the music was perfect

Thank you both for such great videos. I especially thank you for keeping them clean! My 5 & 3 year old find you both so entertaining. They loved the part where Marten screamed while making feather sticks! Now my 3 year old son imitates you saying, "my brother from another mother". You gents rock.

y'all are very talented. probably the most entertaining KZread video I've ever watched. not to mention the educational value. the baton testing was hilarious. you two are NUT'S!! Keep'em coming boy's.

Flint and steel. Flint is sold in sticks or something and you can strike the back of your knife against it to make sparks. I think.

Since this Video (and some more from DBK about the Gunny Scandi) this knife was on my bucket list. After a long time I could make my preorder for a Gunny Scandi 3V and I gladly await the production and delivery of this beauty
*starts fire in the middle of a forest* Oh boy this is fun
You are the best knife channel I have seen. What is the price of the knife and where can I get it?
@DutchBushcraftKnives
7 жыл бұрын
the price is around $220-$300 depending on the handle geometry if you buy it in the USA. In europe it will be somehwere around €300,- . However, it hasn't had a second production run so far. We'll have to wait for bark river to do another production run. Thanks a lot mate! merry Christmas!

Hello DBK, I just wanted to say that I to am a collector and lover of knives. I have a personal collection of about 100 to 125 knives from custom hand made to just about every factory made you can name, I own 7 Bark River knives and fixing to purchase #8, I just came across this video and just helped make up my mind on which bark river to buy, I am going to go with the gunny scandi in 3V, from the reports I've got and now this video I don't think I can go wrong with this knife, thankyou for the help and your awesome videos, I look forward to each Thursday for the next upload, keep them coming, it's the best knife channel around, later guys
Great video guys! Kept a smile on my face
you guys deserve more than 26,000 subscribers your videos are fun to watch, i like the concept of making a boton hammer but not as a survival situation too much time and calories wasted but under control circumstance awesome tool to make for better leverage

I personally don't like the 420HC steel buck uses. The steel is a very slow budget soft stainless steel. Buck makes very high quality blades for sure but their steel just lags behind/

The steel is a very slow budget soft stainless steel. Buck makes very high quality blades for sure but their steel just lags behind/ Reply ...How is anyone to figure out this statement you made...You are double talking as to your opinion about the knife... When in fact you are saying two opposites about the knife... How could one say that Buck makes "Very high quality blades...but their steel just lags behing"...The blades which you say is "very high quality"... is the same as the steel used to make the same blade. And you know that the steel "lags behind". Sorry but your attempt at assuring someone that Buck knives are good or bad...Lacks any persuasive assurance in Buck knives and even less assurance in your knowledge ...

I just got a bravo 1.5 in A2. Its my first barkie and im already super impressed. The only reason i didnt get 3v was because i wanted a softer steel to practice bark rivers convex before i jump to a high end steel.
