The nm stands for nano meters and is the wavelength of the light, 630nm is the wavelength of the red light and 365nm is the UV light wavelength.

Thanks! I notice kelvin is used to describe warm ness/coolness of the light or how muc red or blue in the light. Is this an affect temperature has on spectrum rather than spectrum itself?
Your videos are so helpful and informational , I like how you point out the pros and cons of the items that you review . Great video as always :)
When I saw the title I was like "Do I really want to see a 10 min infomercial on rovyvon?...again" Heck yeah! I don't know why but you sir are pure marketing gold. 👏

I genuinely wanted to show the differences because I didn't understand them all at first either and they're not all documented very well. But thank you. lol
I learned about these through your channel, and I am blown away by these flashlights.
Just got my A5 in. So impressed I bought two more. Thanks for letting me know about this great company.
Love the smoothness of the videos and i can't wait for my aurora a3
Weekly reminder that it's not what you carry. It's that you carry and are prepared. Don't let people tell you that your EDC is not a "real" EDC Because it's missing an Item. Carry to your comfort and needs.
All your videos are absolutely 100% incredible good quality! Thank you!

Just picked up the A5 with the white light. Love the UV mode and am super excited about it. No more changing batteries or my light going off on me in my pocket. Great video man
Man, I love these. I want that UV bad. Great video and very informative as always!!
Was given the Al version for my birthday. I love it!
Love my A5!! Decided to order the A5 Red and it's on the way.
Great video. I'm gonna have to pick one of these guys up. I'll have to post an EDC update when I get one. Love the channel man.
Great review thanks. Nice to know all the comparisons. I bought the UV back in September. Very happy with it, useful in many scenarios. Just lost the damn thing so ordered another. Man, that thing's small. Hopefully I'll find it when I'm not looking for it. Probably the day I get the new one ;)
Those little A5s are PERFECT! I've got one of each (red/UV) that I use as front and rear bike lights clipped onto my backpack. Also use the UV for work, fantastic little lights, both my bosses had to have one after seeing mine haha
Like the flashlight but the price point is obnoxious for such a small light. I think companies take advantage of the “edc” moniker to overcharge.

Actually. The size is the reason why it is so expensive. But I don't think 27 dollars for the cheapest version is that expensive.

Very true. Also, personally I think having such a high output on a key chain light is... overkill? It offers multiple modes so I guess there's that but idk... just a little much for me. Who knows I probably buy it cause FOMO

You just made me spend more money on my EDC gear... Just ordered a A5 (UV). Thank you T!
I have the old transparent red light one and the new version. Love them. Thanks for the video. Edit, the glow in the dark feature lasts all night. Great when camping in a tent Fantastic.
you spent more than 10 min reviewing flashlights without being in the dark????

@@rolgolding”how you’d look with them”? What are you even talking about? No one is talking about how they would look with the light, they are talking about it being common practice in every single flashlight review to show you the light turned on in the dark. It has nothing to do with how someone looks with it.
I got me one and the coupon code worked very well, even in Europe. I replaced my Nitecore on my keys with the A5. Thank you.
I never would have thought I would be so pumped to watch a video and description of a small flashlight, but let me tell you I'm fucking stoked ahahah.
Really enjoying mine. Thanks for the comparison video.
I have the a5 and I love it! I'm an ultralight backpacker, and it exceeds those needs. Thanks for the review. That's how I found out about them
Just got my A2 a few weeks ago. Very bright. Sturdily built. Love the usb charging. I regret nothing, pull the trigger guys!
Good video, and I’m glad they have sponsored you. I bought the polycarbonate version based on your first video, and then bought the UV version when it dropped. I don’t get caught up in the materials so much as I do the features, since they all seem to be well made. Most of my friends are getting versions of these for Christmas.
Man I just got one! now you have me thinking about getting that cool translucent green glowing one damn it!!! Xmas is right around the corner but I don’t think I can wait that long haha.
Love the Rovyvons. That was my christmas present to everyone this last year. I spent a little extra for an A28 for myself and I think it's definitely worth the extra spend.

There are sweet. I can think of a ton of uses for the different side light settings. Never seen that feature before. I just got the I1R. My first light. It's solid, but these are very tempting
Awsome video, definitely need one.
i've had the A3 on my backpack for 4 years now...probably only charged it 5 times, but in a pinch, its SO handy!
Love Rovyvon. I was looking for a keychain light that was USB charged on Amazon. I got one of these and fell in love with it immediately. I ended up getting the 1000 lumen version and the even larger flashlight. All of them are bright as hell. Well worth the price and being USB charged is perfect.

@@kohort1 I have not had a single problem with any of my Rovy flashlights. I own several and got one for my partner. Without even being used my little keychain light holds a charge for about a month before I need to recharge it.
I've had one one of the glow in the dark models on my key chain for the last two years. Best key chain light I've found.
I don't know if you've already done a video like this but you should do a budget EDC order/unboxing to give some of us poor college students some ideas lol
I also love these little lights, so much so that I've bought them for my family members who love theirs too, and I have several of my own. Best brightness to size and weight I have ever seen.
Really cool rundown, exactly what I needed. Btw, the "nm" are nanometers and indicate the wavelength of the light (corresponding to color).
Nice watch man. My Pro Trek Casio is looking seriously weathered but its still a beast
My partner gets me one every year for my birthday. Just got the A5x/A7x this year. They only last about 2 years but worth the money and love the small design to fit on my keychain so I never forget it at home.
Hey T., What about that promised knots & lanyard video?
Nice lights! I like the Lumintop aaa tool flashlight for edc.
This really helped want a luminous one for my everyday activies and a regular for work, for the lumens I get the price point but I can't pay for that
I actually like the low high medium setup. Coming from Fenix lights when them and 4sevens were really the only names in the game, you really only need a bit or a lot. I rarely run a medium mode on a now embarrassingly large collection of flashlights. Other then my olight S1RII (in copper of course) which I try and leave on medium but usually end up using quick access moonlight or turbo. While it’s not logical in order it’s really functional.

so, what flashlight do you recommend the most lol
How do you replace internal battery when they eventually stop working?
Thanks man really enjoyed the video, I'm having a tough time choosing between the titanium or a copper version of the a9
Great review!
You should do an update video for this. So many new versions in their line up now.

I know I’m 2 years late but why do some have a circle button and others have the one in the vid
Looking to buy my first RovyVon light and was wondering which you would recommend.
I just picked up the A3 nichia. Loving this little light. I did notice the user interface is a little Differnt on the Nichia version. It's similar to the luminous body one, but no side light. But it does have a moonlight mode. Single click does momentary turbo (release to end) Double click turns it on and cycles through modes Triple click gives you a 1 lumen moonlight mode. Which is handy The max lumen on the nichia version is only 350 but it's a much better tint color. 4500k i think
Best thing about them they are rechargeable, just don’t understand why is goes from low to high then medium, my only complaint. I want the new one from them!
Forget the flashlight, I just wanna that case! :P Great video.
I really want one of these
Sweeeeeet. Another video 👍🏻👍🏻
1:12 he said "Shead some light on that", you get it😏...😂😂
My RovyVon Aurora A1 failed after a few months; however RovyVon mailed me a new one within a week of emailing their warranty department about the problem.
Ok you sold me on the A5U.. well done

I need to get ordering mine
Awesome , thanks.
Tried to use discount code on family pack of all of the lights and it wouldn't work. It's all good. Excellent value buying them all in one shot. Great review.
I've got 3 and love them all.
Ive had an a2 on my keychain for almost a year straight, and its worth every penny
I've got the Olight s2r baton and the i5t. Ive got the Fenix E30R and E18r. Several other Thrunites, streamlights, so on. I keep coming back to my Rovyvon A23. You cant beat 1000 lumens at the size of an 18650 battery. For edc at my job, the others were a tad too much in pocket with the other stuff I carry.
630 nm would probably be the wavelength of the UV light in nanometers, although I think that is not quite down into the UV spectrum. I'm no expert though. Just found your channel; excellent content! I'm buying one of those for sure!

Hi there I’m new to your channel plus a UK fan. I have just purchased a Rovyvon A5 I haven’t actually tried it yet as it only came this morning But I have been speaking to the Rovyvon company because they have new flash lights available online Rovyvon aurora A6 & A8 the A8 everybody has moonlight mode and other things plus a totally different UI Could you do a review on these new Rovyvon products please And also keep up the good work I like your videos boss
It would be awsome if they came out with that see through light with a more powerful side light and be able to change the modes.
I think the nm numbers are talking about the wavelength of the lights. In nanometers.

Maybe. I thought the same thing after I finished recording … but I'm not 100% sure.
I literally use my RV daily at work. Bright and compact. Nothing better for me.
The titanium one would be my favorite to if it had the same clip otions as the stainless steel model. Pissed me off that it didnt.
You should demonstrate them outside.
I need them all
I have the black titanium with vile tubes. Is it possible to get access (change) the rechargeable battery?
What happens when the battery dies, does Rovyvon offer a replacement, in say 5 years? But in general, very good flashlights !

I got an 8x and they gave me an a6 for free! Both are fantastic!
I just got the A1 and a quick double click goes right to low then med, high and finally firefly mode really low like maybe 5 lumens. I guess they change the interface again for 2021. I'm not sure how to get strobe mode I did it twice accidentally but haven't been able to do again lol. Thanks for this review that helped me decide on my new keychain light👍.
I didn’t think I’d ever need to carry a flashlight but your starting to change my mine. Another great man 👍🏼
the delay in the ON button is likely to avoid inadvertent switching in the pocket. I would guess at least...
Can you plz tell me what string or paracord you use to make your Lanyard.
😏 @1:13 “Wanted to shed some light” on flashlight stats ✊🏾
I’m feeling Christmas gift! Another great job 👍
I recently ordered the A8x. What is the difference between that and the a5?
I ended up with the nichia a8x-u.. I just went ahead and bought it after I spent like two hours comparing the versions and finding my best configuration lol. If it ain’t high cri, I just don’t care. Beyond that, I dug the uv and white secondary lights but didn’t care much about the red. Regardless, I could still picture it coming in handy. Only had it for a couple days but it might just replace the ti eagtac d25c I’ve carried for years! I rarely use the high modes for more than a couple seconds anyway so battery life is pretty excellent as well.
Hey @Best Damn EDC, would you recommend the uv or red signal a5 for an urban edc?
@BestDamnEDC
5 жыл бұрын
I honestly see more practical use out of the red side light. But if I'm going to be honest … I don't really use either.
Nitefox is 1/3 price and the warrenty is great. My diffuser split and they mailed me a whole new light with silicilone diffuser Also has replaceble aaa or 10440 for really bright beam or use aaa nimh
Do you think any new Rovyvon models coming out? They haven’t had any new models for over a year. I’m eyeing the A25. I’m debating between the white UV or white red side lights. Does these gitd models last long in glowing and do the UV light really charge up the phosphorus or can the white light do fine for charging up the phosphorus too. I’m thinking of getting the white and red side light if the glow in the dark doesn’t glow that long of a time. I feel there’s probably a new series coming out like A25 X and it’ll be annoying if I’ve just bought the older version and a new version comes out soon.
Just got my A3 and the functionality seems to have changed. It goes on turbo when you press and hold and switches off as soon as you release. To keep it on I need to double click, and then single click to change modes. Here they say they have memory but it always start at one level lower then the highest.
I’m thinking about ordering a couple of the A1x, I find it peculiar the polymer A1x $19 and the titanium A4x $63 have the same exact 2 year warranty lol
I wanted the titanium version, but I can’t deal with the weird low-HIGH-medium pattern. Had to grab the UV version instead.
Just wondering if you have tried hooking one of them up to a computer to see if you could run a micro controller program to adjust the settings? In my mind I would think the same micro slot to charge is the same spot they program the chip at the factory and you might get lucky running arduino ide

Could be worth trying … Good idea!
nm stands for nanometers. They represent the wavelengths of those two colors.
Any news or reviews coming for the A6 and A8 Rovyvon they have moonlight mode
Did the flashlights come with that cool looking case?
The sheet did not show the turbo mode specs. Guess it's from a different model. Wonder why it did have the side light specs though or do all the models have that feature. I thought only the fridge sted see through plastic ones
why on other listings are the buttons different can someone help me on the listings I'm looking at the buttons are circle. thanks
Wish I could have a old man version of this, with two modes on and off. Maybe medium, high toggle would be useful, but it doesn't outweigh the simplicity of on/off. 99% of the time I want the flash light to light at max, and I wasn't to click once to turn off. Wish RovyVon would make some internal bridge you can jump inside of the unit to enable this kind of mode.
I got the glowing light with the uv light the first time you ever showed these. People crap there pants when they see how bright this tiny light is theres nothing on the market yet even close to as good as these. The rechargeable small olight is nice but only 130 lumens and only has 2 settings.
Another banger
How does the a4 black coating fare against keys?
Mi amigo sabeeeeeeee ...buen video...lo tengo como un video de referencia desde hace años
the longer wait to turn on off on the first version could actually be better .we keychain carry so a longer press would avoid(more) the light turning on in a jean pocket .
Bought the A5x. Impressively bright. But at max brightness the LED heats up to 90C(195F) in 1 minute. Dangerously hot. How hot do the metal body ones get?
