I'm working on a small wood project for indoors and I chose poplar wood board for my project. And I need to cut a half circle on the end of the poplar board. In the past I've used a Dewalt jigsaw and it completely froze/locked or died on me not sure what the correct term is used . But I know it was my error my guess was I used the wrong blade and forcing the cut. Sense then I've purchased another jigsaw I slowed my cuts my question is which jigsaw blade do you recommend to cut a curve on a poplar hardwood borad ?

What's the difference in "T" number....I see T101 and T118. Also...How do you get a thicker blade ( if there is one), to better-assure the blade doesn't curve sideways, on the bottom of what you're cutting..... and stays straighter with the top of the cutting surface?

Rough edges shouldn't be a problem as most the time you hide it close to the wall under the base molding. I use miter saw, circular saw the a very fine tooth blade, or a Japanese pull saw, very clean cuts. Tape over the cuts with a fine tooth jigsaw blade should provide better results.

What’s a good blade for cutting wood rounds in plywood? I bought 10 tpi and the wood is bouncing around even though I have it clamped to a table. I had a skinnier blade before it bent.

What do the letters (AOF), (B3) on the jigsaw blade mean? For example T101(AOF), T101(B3) and others.

With a De Walt jig saw and 20tpi blade cutting curve in 3/4 plywood it leaves a slant in the finished cut. How do i correct this? Thank you

What about the old style blades? Is the only difference ease of install or should I scrap my old faithful saw for the new style?

Given the VAST AMOUNT of available blades, this video just doesn't make sense. Next time, try to do an acceptable job, will you? You completely missed the type of tooth, the Section of the blade, the rake, and the many many other kinds of blades available.

There are indeed a vast number of blades available. The "t" and "u" blades tend to be machine specific although one of my machines will accept either. I currently use my b&d with the old stock of u blades mainly because I find it is too restrictive, but also because I find the b&d website rather rude and lacking in product detail. I just use the products for jobs that do not require a half decent finish and will use my superior jigsaw from the in. Clear the rubbish😊

Tpi is teeth per inch, the higher the number the finer the cut

I have a spreadsheet somewhere that lists the manufacturers and codes in more detail but I will not post it as I do not care to do the job I think b&d should do and apart from that, I only get hit once with a bad purchase and then move over to another brand. It is not tool specific, but when one tots up the rubbish tools one figures what not to buy again. Just saying, if you really wanted to know, a 106-1 is a b&d fine toothed steel blade, possible a U blade and is in my pile of b&d stuff to us on junk projects then kiss the brand goodbye forever😅

Stanley also use a stranger code. Easy to figure if all you buy is Stanley stuff, I got some at good discount but would not normally buy that stuff.
