Hey Amanda, Some reviews actually mentioned that the bluetooth connection is always on and that bluetooth audio signals will always take precedence over other connections. is this true? Does it mean that if i m playing stuff from my PC and any 1 within the pairing radius will be able to pair and connect to it and override my music? i m concerned as i live in an apartment.

Nice review! I was thinking of replacing my pair of Beoplay S3s with a pair Audioengine A2+. What do you personally think about them? Would you suggest them? If I get them, shall I pick up a separate subwoofer for them? Thanks :)

+Ilja Miskov Yes I suggest them, love 'em. You'd have to weigh out the +\- of each to see what would fit your needs. I plan to make a video as many seem to have the same issue deciding

They sound the same. Think of the HD3 as an "equipped" A2+. Tweeter and drivers are the same. And while they don't have the same DACs, they perform very good with same audio results. I have tested them both, I recommend both. Real difference comes as in what features are you looking for on these 2 models.

You can use several options: Bluetooth, 3.5mm or USB

Thank you so much for replying! Just a further question, if you connect the HD3s directly to the PC using the USB cable do you then use an RCA cable to connect the speakers to the subwoofer i.e. from the 'output' of the speakers to the 'input' of the Sub?

Then how did you do it? I want the volume on the right too but is there an option to change the left and right speakers on the computer? I don't want some parts in music to switch if it's from left to right or right to left

+Nolan Braunwarth the D1 is built into the HD3, so there is that..both sound great! How about size, does the larger speaker boxes make any difference to you? I haven’t checked recent pricing but also use that to help you decide. A5+ do have a bit more bass but they don’t compare to the smaller set of speaker along with a sub.

It's ok, I don't think they were trying to be hostile or anything. It's a good suggestion for future vids. The variety of genres you chose were great to show the range of the speakers, bass-heavy songs can only add to that sound test. Great vid regardless, thanks for reviewing those speakers!

@@AmandaWoolsey ah I see, I don’t wanna be that guy but doing that kinda defeats the whole purpose of having stereo speakers. Look into this software called equalizer APO. It allows you to swap the output channels on your computer. That way, the left speaker will output the right channel and and the right speaker will output the left channel, and then because you swapped your speakers you will now have the left audio on the left and the right audio on the right, even though the speakers are swapped :) Learn more here if you’re interested: superuser.com/questions/22514/how-do-i-swap-audio-output-of-the-left-and-right-speakers

All you had to do was read the manual, way to put no effort into a review. Bass reduction is for subwoofer use, no point giving your speakers the job if you have a sub.

+Dani Blazquez not sure what that means (I know what overexposed means to video/photography but not sound) but I did suggest some may prefer to use the bass reduction. Also not sure why you are all caps yelling at me lol

Don't know how to say that, but these speakers sounded like a....poor speaker played in a cheap plastic box. I'm not an audiophile (previous owner of Logitech x-540), but it sounds awful, as all those sub $150 speakers (pair)

Yes, I know YT compression sucks, but YT is the only place where I can hear the sound of all speakers I'm interested in, but in the end....I can only choose their chasis, colour etc. I cannot find a shop in my city, where I could see all speakers I'm interested in (Edifiers, Behringer or Vanatoo for which I have a mixed feelings and suspect most youtubers were bribed by manufacturers :)

Is that screen saver? If so, how do I get it?
