A nicely executed fade will never go out of style. Some people have very coarse, thick, unruly hair and need a fade to help cut down on the overall bulk and make them look more presentable. All depends on the hair type and what suits your face best.

Try to grow the sides to the same length on top , about 5 inches , and push it all back, it will look much better

Fades are definitely not gone. Maybe extremely high fades. Also all these hairstyles look bad without a good hairline

Though it can manipulate how your face shape looks. I have an oval ish face shape and I look like an egg when I have equal lengths on all sides and don’t do anything to it. But when I got the sides way shorter and a low taper and make it look more sharp. My face shape looks wider face shape evens out and I look sharper
