BEST GUITARIST I'VE DISCOVERED IN 2022...

Out of all the guitarists I've reacted to, discovered, and listened to this year, he seems to have it all - phrasing, technique, tone, improvisation, feel and groove all in one. The most significant aspect of all, that I believe sets him apart from all the other shredders, is that he never sacrifices melody for any technique or moment to show off. Everything he plays serves the song, and yet he could shred and improvise endlessly just as good as anyone else.

Thanks for the recommendation! Will check him out 👍🏻
Ok, so Poland isn't exactly known for its guitarists. Apart from Jakub people also seem to enjoy Marcin Patrzalek and his style of playing. I can't recall any other players with such a skillset, influence, or contribution to the world of guitar playing as Jakub has. But if you want some good polish music you can check out LemON (with an amazing, technical vocalist) and Mikromusic (indie-folk with some great musicians and equally great harmony building). I'm not asking you to make videos about them. Simply suggesting that you could enjoy them in your spare time :) If you want an underrated guitarist to watch, check out Daijiro Nakagawa from the band JYOCHO. Great vid btw!

@@SeanBennettGuitar Just try avoiding the most popular "radio stuff" from LemON 'cause those are songs their record label made them write 😅 If I would to recommend specific songs: LemON - Pizno, Mysl, Cinematic,, Papier Mikromusic - Na Krzywy Ryj, Kostucha

I think might be using a line 6 helix but also using the laptop for background sounds/automation/sample pad. Could be wrong though!

@@SeanBennettGuitar Mm.. It sounds super crisp and sheen like to be a Helix? But they have upped their game in recent times regarding tone so it could well be.

I watched an interview, after recording the reaction, and Zakub mentions that he uses the helix for his guitar tones and fx (mainly for convenience); however, whether he does this just for gigs abroad or for all performances I don't know! I was impressed with the tones he managed to get out of it: kzread.info/dash/bejne/lGxlmtmFZ9rcpsY.html

@@SeanBennettGuitar oh ok, that’s interesting. I’m on the fence wether to get an Helix or Quad Cortex🤔.
