One of the best things about HEB is that green check you see on so many of their products ....it means it does not include sooooo many ingredients we avoid at my house. No artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners, or literally hundreds of other things

The best grocery store of all time! Each time I've moved from Texas I deeply missed HEB. Never leaving again I just can't give up my favorite store. They now offer a Cashback debit card. 5% off all store brands. I almost exclusively buy the HEB brands. So stoked for this new avenue of savings. HEB girl for life! Whoa yeah!

I love that you enjoyed our H-E-B stores here in Texas! A little higher pricing than Walmart but the the quality makes it worth it. I have noticed that H‑E‑B store brand foods sometimes surpass the original brand. Cream of Poblano soup is another good item to to snag! It has elevated several of my recipes.

Don't have HEB in Mississippi---looks like a great store. It's pah-cahn. Someone once told me that a pe-can is something truck drivers take on the road with them :) :) Mindy, if you don't mind, a prayer request from everyone. I am writing this on Sunday evening March 26. As most of you should know by now from the national news reports, several parts of Mississippi were hit by tornadoes on Friday night. Much loss of life and of property. Several small towns are now gone--just flattened. Please pray for my state and our people---all of us whether or not directly affected by this devastation are hurting. Mindy, I would not normally make some sort of personal plug on a comment like this, but felt this one was needed. Thanks, Frances

'mighty christian of them'...they never sold any kind of alcohol...i'll bet grandpa butt would have come out of his grave...if he found out they started selling beer...i have a neice who lives in kerrville...great place...especially if you are baptists...lol

I was a loyal HEB grocery shopper until one day i put something in my online cart a HEB and the item was not in stock. I went over to Walmart and put the same item in my cart only to see it was significantly lower priced lower. I know HEB raises the cost of items for online ordering by a few cents but the difference was too much for it to be just based on the few cents. I tested it out by physically comparison shopping at each store and there was still a huge difference. As an example; on June 13, 2023 HEB 4 ct. (1lb.) sweet cream butter was $4.97. Great Value 4 ct. (1lb.) sweet cream butter $3.98. None of these prices reflect a sale. I just thought I was saving money at HEB and I may have been at one time but now i don't shop HEB unless I have absolutely have to. I don't love that i shop at WM but I want our income to go further.

My closest one is small and doesn't have a lot of choices, but just 8 miles away is a much bigger one. The fajitas meat is really good and we love it on chef/steak salad. We also like the HEB natural peanut butter. I'm not a fan of flavored coffees at all, but the Italian roast beans I love. That ice cream is to die for, we love the mocha and homemade vanilla.

When I lived in Texas everyone said "pea-can". Everywhere else I've lived its " pea-con". I tend to use both. Same with apricot ( long A short a I use both)

I was so excited when H‑E‑B finally opened a store in my area of West Texas. Btw…”Pea-can” is a container for little round green veggies NOT the nut from the state tree of Texas (meaning that Texans can be trusted to know the correct pronunciation 😜).

We went to the heb in Frisco when it just opened. Extremely crowded I couldn't move around or understand anything. I felt every thing was horrible and I never want to go back... but husband says we should try again when it might not be so busy with people to stress me out. He is the one that makes the money and drives(my anxiety just can't) so we will go again at some point.😨

here is a little coffee refresher tip.. try re-grinding it in your home. put some in your nutribullet and whizz it for a couple of pulses.. then brew it - sometimes you need to reawaken the grounds -it has worked for all sorts of coffees and perhaps, that may make a taste difference thats pleasing for you.

I say pecan either way depending on my mood. Usually it's "pee-con" but I always eat "pee-can" pie. I love Texas sheet cake and now I want one! Maybe I'll have her make me one for my birthday this year. 😀 (Her recipe uses sour cream. And I would have never thought about using buttermilk.)
