Best Grandma's recipe of Ukrainian dumplings - vegan
Dumplings are the main dish in many Slavic counties. They also know as pierogi in Poland or vareniki in Ukraine. This recipe is vegan and it is the best!
For the dough you will need:
2 cup of all-purpose flour
2 tablespoon of vegetable oil
half teaspoon of salt
1 cup of boiling water
For the filling:
boiled and mashed potato and kumara (sweet potato)
For the topping:
fried onion,
margarine and sour cream are optional.

It was so much fun making them together.
Looks a good vegan recipe thanks x
Thank you!🌱💚
I'm an American Ukie, and I have never seen a hot water dough preparation, which is common for Chinese noodle doughs. In my family, although the dough is not like this, we do use the Chinese donut-and-snakes method for portioning dough into pieces to roll individual wraps. This method intrigued me, and the results looked delicious, so thanks for posting. : )
I could smell the cooking onions from here. Lol. One of my favourite smells when making perogies.
Thank you!! I enjoyed these tonight #slavaukraini
The only thing we missed, was seeing you take a bite! You made it look so easy, I may just give this a try! :-)
It's so delicious . Thanks. 😍
Yum!
Yay vegan!
My mother always added some sour cream when she mixed the dough , try it you'll like it ..🇺🇦
I made perogies for the first time today using this recipe. They tasted delicious! I added cheese and green onion to the potatoes for the filling. I found that the dough was more elastic when I added warm water instead of hot water. Maybe it was a one time thing. They still turned out great! Thanks for the recipe! :)
