What are some of y'alls tips that I missed? Vehicle Maintenance you should look out for?

With the hand warmers I would recommend having a ziploc bag for them. If you get warm enough after a bit you can save them in the ziploc and push all the air out and they will be able to reactivate once you expose them to air again within a day or so.

If you’re going down unplowed roads or deep snow. Throw your spare in the bed in case you bury your truck and need it. Sometimes not enough room to drop it down without shoveling snow

Not a bad idea. I’ll have to give that a shot next time it’s bad out.

I also have the JFEGWO 6000A featured in your video. Once, during heavy snowfall, my car battery died, and it saved me. It's indeed a powerful device!

Yeah I’m starting to like that one more than my goal zero. I have considered buying a few online and testing them out against each other but I’m not sure I make enough off this channel to do things like that yet.

Rain-X is the only washer fluid I use. I've tried all of the others that are rated to -30ºF as we can get down to -50ºF, and none of them clean as well as Rain-X. I also apply Rain-X to the windshield twice per year.

Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll try to take a look into that. It doesn’t get that cold here that much but I’ll read into the Rain X a bit more.

Hey there, the JFEGWO 6000A is a game-changer! This device is loaded with quality features. I used it to jump-start my 2.0-liter gasoline sedan in sub-zero temperatures, and it worked like a charm.

In my 2016 Tundra I have the underseat storage box, and I did the rear seat fold down modification. That way I don't have to store everything in a box in the bed. I also use behind the seat storage pouches, and that's where I keep my battery jump box. I run a USB cable from the cigarette lighter in the armrest to the jump pack which is stored in the pouch full-time so it is always charged up in the event I need to use it. I use it way more for jump-starting other people than I've ever had to use it for any of my vehicles. And since most people are used to jumper cables when I walk over with a black plastic brick then their car starts they think I'm some kind of wizard haha The super Z6 Tire cables will fit on the front and have a lot of clearance between the tire and the spring perch. Auto socks are a great emergency item, but if you live in a place where you find yourself needing to use them with any frequency I do think chains or cables will last significantly longer

Yeah I say that about the autosock having only watched other people use them. Right now I still technically rub so maybe once I get my bumper on I’ll go full chains.

I’ll look into the Super Z6, I had seen them but never personally used them. You like them? They look good as more substantial than the auto sock but not so clunky.

And I’m still new to the tundra platform so I’ll also have to check out the seat mod.

@@OXFOOT I do like the super Z6 cables. I have them for my tundra, my off-road 3rd gen 4runner, and my partners 2019 4Runner has them front and rear. On the rear of my Tundra and 3g4r I have vbar chains but honestly I've been thinking about super z6 all around because chain is heavy, bulky, and a little more complicated to put on. That said, autosocks are easier and more compact. I've seen videos where they shred after driving on not-icy road when pulling over to take them off so I've always considered them one-use. Maybe the new ones are better?

@@OXFOOT the fold down seat modification is initially kind of scary because you have to carefully cut the hooks that hold the seat to the back wall of the truck. It's hard to mess up it just feels weird to make the cut. Once I did it I realized how much space is available behind and under the seats and was very disappointed that Toyota did not have folding seats as something we didn't have to hack. . If you do this you will find there is some space behind the seatback where the foam is. The 5th gen 4Runner folks have a lot of clever ideas for how to utilize the space underneath their folding seats, and I have occasionally thought about adding a molle panel or using velcro to attach things to the springs.

For winter i’d recommend nokian tires (esp the studded ones if it’s legal for you locally)

I have 17x9 with 0 offset wheels and 17x12.5x35” tires. I have a 3” lift, an R4T body mount chop and removed the plastic from the back of the front bumper to get that clearance so it doesn’t rub.

Even if you have the best tire you will still slide on black ice even with snow tires.

This is very true. Driving in snow conditions is tough either way. Considered doing a whole section on how to drive correctly in winter but the video was already 30 minutes. EVEN THEN with goo driving ice can still get you.
