The economy is coming back, I see signs of it all over, just need enough people to feel it and believe it so they start spending on art again. I’m hoping enough of the artist out there survive till that comes about. ❤️

I still did fine, and one of my local buyers is coming over this week to pick out a few pieces (she saw stuff I posted on Facebook and laid claimed to a couple already!) my biggest disappointment was that my neighbors didn’t want to take art classes… Even for a discount! Lol silly people 🤣

You were very kind to sell your art to those young people so cheaply. I'm sure they will treasure those pieces for years! I'm sorry you weren't lucky enough to have some more serious buyers stop by. It seems like every 2nd person is doing it tough these days, and can barely afford to pay the bills, let alone something as luxurious as a piece of original art.

Garage sale day is also not a great day to do this, people aren’t coming with an eye for Art. A number of people who stopped to look at my art sign our folks who I doubt I’ve ever walked into a gallery before. So I was pretty excited that I got to expose them to a little bit of art.❤️

Sandy, have you considered selling prints on your merch site? Maybe have viewers vote on art pieces they would be interested in having a copy, then sell them signed. I would love to have a copy or two of your artwork.

A quality printer costs a couple thousand plus pricey archival paper and toner, which I don’t have…paying someone to print costs a lot too, and with costs for all the packaging etc I have no idea how it’s worth artists’ time to sell prints. I can’t make the math work. 😢 I do have a shop at Fine Art America where I get about $1 per print.

I tried to sell my art at my yard sale. Only sold one painting.

YES - it IS the best garage sale sign ever and wins the best in class “Upcycle of Scrap Cardboard” award. It would be fun as a coloring page - but scanning would be problematic…
