The music playing during the Duke Brothers fight could be one of the slower black metal songs--made me think a little of Enslaved when it started playing. No wall-of-sound tremolo, but you throw some shrieking vocals over that track, and it could pass on a black metal band's album. Endless mode got a little djenty, though.

The word you're looking for is sludge metal. Which makes a whole lot of sense. Sludge is a very southern genre. You shoot KKK. Go figure.

Fun Fact: The Developer of DUSK, David Szymanski did several Surreal-Horror Walking Simulators, Moon Silver, The Music Machine, The Wolf in Autumn. So in a funny way he pulled a Reverse "Vanishing of Ethan Carter", which was made by former Painkiller/Bulletstorm Devs.

It's really enjoyable to watch these two tear through a game they're good at.

So this is the game that puts you in plague's shoes. Looks like fun.

It would be so sick if the developers work-shopped the main character's name into "Plague" talk about an easter egg for the ages. It'd be awesome if you could buy this in CD form and it came in a box with an old-school manual and shit. (I'm super materialistic like that.)

Plague is going to need to put up a fence high enough to block out all the shade Matt is throwing his way.

jericho is a really underrated game, a lot of problems that could have been fixed simply by letting you play it multiplayer and making areas slighty larger. the pop up monsters and repetative sub bosses wouldnt be as much of a problem if they required actual teamwork and use of everyones abilites and it gave you the feedom of movement to perform this kind of gameplay. also abbie black is fucking op, most of the unlocks can be done by her homing bullets alone. as it is i have no idea why they decided to make a 1 player left 4 dead lol.

When I clicked on this video, hype silently entered my room, and then hit me all at once.

I was looking for PlagueofGripes in the comments, but he must be too busy Building another fence to keep out the Wendigos from getting his chickens.

Shit...I remember 1996. What a crazy goddamn year. Betty Rubble was added to Flintstones vitamins. A blizzard killed like 50 people or something, and no one was added to the baseball hall of fame for the first time in 25 years. Fuck, those were dark times indeed.

I recently finished this game on the Switch. I loved it. I've been waiting to play this game ever since I'd seen it on this channel 5 years ago. That said I really miss these two working together. Pioneers who are dearly missed. I'm so glad they had the forethought to leave the channel in place so we could keep watching.

The speed of the game is basically how I view the world when I accidentally take two of my Adderall.

When the character gets hurt, I think it's just Matt making a weird sound.

The music is actually sick, its a good mix of 90's and modern metal.

These were my best friends! Then they broke up and my life has been in shambles ever since. Super best friends was the greatest distribution of content on not just youtube but the internet as a whole the videos they made echoed the times they were in with satyr and mirth galore. I pledge to the Zaibatsu to carry on the best friends energy that they created.

OMFG, this is the BEST. I can not WAIT for DUSK!!!!!!!!!

Kind of surprised the demo doesn't have that jump pad stuff. Most retro inspired indie games just seem to make the old thing as it is, flaws and all, without improving it or updating it. That sick super vault bullet storm is a genuine innovation.

Looking forward to the MP of this. It's like Doom + Quake + Painkiller. Can't wait.

Oh my god developers! Stop calling things pre-alpha that are not pre-alpha! Alpha means "It'll look something like this, but it might not have this level, there's gonna be lots of placeholders." Beta means "This is an early access of the game. There are possibly some large bugs, but there's a good chance you'll be seeing this in the finished product." PRE-alpha means "I have an IDEA for a game. Almost everything here is a placeholder. Expect nothing here to be re-used." Pre-pre-pre-alpha would be some drawings made of macaroni and glitter of a cyber-demon and the words "Vidjo gayme?" under it in crayon.

Yeah, but then "beta" started replacing the word "demo" and they started releasing betas like a month before the release of the final game. So then alpha had to become the new beta, pre-alpha the new alpha and so on.
