The water has been surprisingly clear for all of the rain we have had. The south side of Horn Island was as clear and pretty as anything off of Pensacola Beach this week.

At 2:14ish look to the left of the flounder you caught, there’s either a huge flounder or a ray that moved toward the boat too. Pretty cool!

It's not the color...It's the positioning of the bait above the flounder where he can strike. If you would have swapped out Chartreuse with white he would have nailed the top bait. I like using a bank sinker on the bottom loosely tied ,so if I get hung up it slips off the bank sinker and Im able to tie a new one on. Be sure to break your rod on setting that hook, flounder have boney jaws. Nice video, Thanks for fun action.

That is correct. I have played with that and 90% of my fish come on the top bait. I use a tandem anytime I’m not around a lot of cover. Jody keep up the great work brother. 😎

I love tandem rigs ! My new technique is a Gulp shrimp on the front and a kahle hook and live finger mullet on the back hook. I also do a tandem rig with a mirror lure with a sparkle beetle on a single hook (not a jig head) on an 18 inch leader attached to the rear of the mirror lure. That combo slaughters school trout under lights at night !

Hey, Jody. Like your videos. Very informative. Could it be that the flounder were hitting the top jig rather than the bottom regardless of the color? Wasn't sure if you tested that or not.

Yes, I definitely will soon. The water clarity has to be very good for you to be able to see the flounder using a GoPro. Water have been stained for quite a while. We’ve been doing very well on our trips, but waiting on the clarity for a good video!

The tides move a little faster in New York. Also how deep is the water about? And my final question is do you try it on the incoming tides?

About 2 foot or less. Yes, any tide. I fish every Friday!

Send me the spots where you fish. I’d love to look it up on Google Earth to see if it’s comparable to where I live in New York. I’d like to do fish in the back phase for striped bass, but I have never tried it for fluke. My brother catches a lot flute are the bridges. But I would love to try the back bays

Have you ever count 2 flounder at the same time with that rig
