@@AdrianLardPhotohey man, just a question about brand thing. Does it only for the trigger that matters? Because I’ve seen the speedlight also have certain brands. What if I use different camera brands? Do I only need to purchase different triggers or I need the whole different flash?

Just got the x2t and v860iii just to dip my toes in the world of flash photography and if i decide it's something i really love and get some side gigs from it, i figure i can snag that ad200pro down the road. If not, I'll still get good use out of it getting photos of my family.

Thank you soo much for breaking this down! I’ve been trying to figure out this stuff for weeks and you broke everything down in one video! Trying to look up content for flash is all scattered. You wrapped up everything all in one video with some really good suggestions! I don’t comment on KZread much but I needed to comment on this and give you a like for saving me soo much time. Thanks again for this content!

I don’t know why you don’t have A couple hundred thousand subscribers. You break everything down you’re very thorough and what you have to offer is very insightful and helps out tremendously. Over the years I have a v860ii that I use on my camera and I use the magmod gels and magsphere . I have 2 tt600’s I use on the dance floor for weddings. But for my outdoor portraits I started out with the ad200 which works great until I needed more power. I picked up the ad600ttl model which works perfectly. But I just picked up another ad600 so when I do large group shots I have one on each side with a 24 inch Tripio soft box and lights them up perfectly with plenty of fill light. I have the glow glow foldable beauty dish that I use a lot when it’s really windy out. The glow 28 & 38 deep parabolic for senior portraits and couples. And when it’s not windy out I break out the glow 42 beauty dish for couples and family photos. Headshots I use one ad600 with the glow 42 beauty dish directly over a westcott eyelighter and one speedlight for the hair light. I also invested into some rotolight aeos and 2 neo 2’s when I am in darker situations and can use the with my godox strobes and trigger. They have come in clutch numerous times. It took a couple of years to acquire all of this gear, and I now have just about everything I could need for every situation that I could face in what I do. The only thing that sucks is moving it all when I am a one man band. Lol but great video as always

Great video as usual bro. I love my flash photography gear. I went through a period of G.A.S. with my Godox/flashpoint flash gear. I find myself with an ad600, ad200pro and 2 speedlights in my strobe bag at all times unless I'm planning something specifically requiring otherwise. I also love my magmod and glow modifiers along with my westcott umbrellas. Always looking forward to your next video.

I haven't really been buying anything lately besides the godox V1, which I had to buy as a backup. These days I try not to buy stuff unless I really need it...easier said than done lol

Excellent well presented video. One thing to add on the Godox PRO trigger. It has bluetooth capability which allows you to change settings with an app on a device such as an iPad. It also allows you to export the settings and re-import them at a later date. I use this feature quite a bit in my studio - e.g. save settings for a specific strobe arrangement and backdrop, then easily call the settings back a month later for a similar shoot. Negative aspect of the PRO? The settings live on the device and can’t be offloaded - but I can live with that. Also, They’ve been hard to find with the supply shortage.

Good review There are other stuff out there than just Godox. I know when starting out and you are on a budget you get what you can but there is also buy it one and get a good product. My first light ever were SV hit lights and the Money I made from them I got two Hensels. Good quality modifiers are a must I have gotten cheap modifiers in the past only to have them go down on. A shoot and that is not fun. The V1 looks good I picked up a used Profoto A1X for 650 and that thing is a amazing. I use a couple of B2’s on location the light quality is amazing. Light is not light. Not all brands are created equal and you do get what you pay for. Before buying test test and test. Good luck

Hey Charles. Glad to hear the content has been helpful. To be honest, I haven't used the V1 in a big softbox yet. I've only used it on camera with small diffusers like the Magsphere. For the 48" diffusers, I would use the ad200 or ad400pro.

I enjoy your videos and I'm currently building up a new set of flash equipment. The one thing I'd love to know is if you also have some some recommendations for light stands in different scenarios? I'm looking for something that is strong enough to be used on location with a soft box but isn't extremely heavy as my locations require lots of walking with all the equipment at times. But regardless of my situation I'd love to know what your favorite light stands are as well. Thanks!

I like the way you explain things. Straight and simple. I came up with a question though. It's rather theoretical. I'm a beginner to ocf. I do understand basics. Right now I own the v1 and ad200. I've realized I got to practice with one flash setup to better understand the rules. I've been thinking about third light for my setup though. Theoretically in the future ☺️. So I thought maybe to get something smaller than v1. Then I thought to myself maybe getting something bigger is the way to do it (ad400, ad600 maybe). Then I came up with another idea. Maybe its better to get another ad200. It's possible to stick two of them so they work as one flash equal to 400? But still I'll have ability to work with them separately. So do you think is it a good idea to go this way? I hope I didn't overcompicate this comment 😅
