I love when anime’s do these long drawn out fight scenes with absolutely no talking interrupting it. Just intense fighting and intense music and nothing else for a solid minute. Those are the best ones. I notice Black Clover does this a lot.

That fight was too short but I really like it a lot too for obvious reasons To me Gon x Pitou is my third favorite... second is Kurapika x Uvogin, and my favorite is Meruen x Netero

2016 was a good year for me. Previously, Steins Gate was my favorite anime and that began airing around the same time as HxH. I don't know why it took me so long to watch it but when I started, it easily became my top 1 of all time. Finished those damn episodes so quickly too lol. Breaking Bad is a good 2nd though.

Coincidentally me as well lol. Watched so many mainstream bangers, but always avoided HxH for some reason. In less than 3 weeks I finished the anime. The only thing that got on my nerves was the freaking narrator in the chimera ant operation. The pace was extremely slow because of it and it ruined many good moments. They stretched the whole arc because of the narrator. It could have been done with 10 episodes less if they removed him and that pacing would be goated.

@@peolfpetler8500 The narrator was included because there are lots of complexity to discuss in chimera arc, the author don't want the events to be misinterpreted or understood deeply by the viewers, some situation may confuse the viewers as well. In my personal take, i like the narrator; it gives layers and different vibes for the anime .

Gon vs Hisoka is so well animated you have to slow it down to fully appreciate it. Gon coming nearly close to smacking hisoka s face, hisoka stopping his fist in front of gon to confuse him and then punch him, hisoka contracting bungee gum rapidly to let his fist automatically punch gon etc are phenomenal

But on the scale of the CAA those characters fail in gap of power to the Royals, so much so as if it didn’t matter… if the Ants won then the world would of ended basically. I was thinking big picture, I didn’t have enough time to include all the victories of characters.

I appreciate that. I wish I could do this over again and fix the tearing issue that can be seen at certain times with frames but I'll just leave it as it is. I try to not make too many cuts or else everything is flashing before your eyes, too bad copyright reasons won't let me have what I wanted originally. Also these fights are all what I think are the best so I presume them to be the best of the series for me.

Hisoka is completely madness,he loves to play with strong people,and he loves to break them,like a child throwing his toys on the floor.Amazing character.

I love how they make it a point to show that hisoka doesn't just dodge gon he lets him get as close as possible just to taunt him but still with that gap he managed to land the one punch he needed.

Nut to death. Honestly, Hisoka would probably get a boner from meeting someone of Zazan's level already.

I love all of the strategy and mind games in this show! All of the fights and the circumstances leading to them make it feel like the decisions each character would make were considered. For example Gon doesn’t finish the Chimera Ant arc by delivering one big final punch to Meruem because that’s not how it would happen with these characters! The team had to carefully strategize on how to beat the ants and Gon, while he is the protagonist and very powerful, is still learning and has his limits. It’s always clear that there is a world outside of what we see happening in HxH and each character has experience and thoughts we don’t see. Suspension of disbelief is done so well in this show

At 1:05 you can see Hisoka look to where Gon will actually appear and looks back at his faints until he pops up to the spot Hisoka looked at earlier

It’s still so impressive at how well animated the series is, especially for a WEEKLY anime. But that meant a lot, and I mean A LOT of money went into making this show

I must admit Gon beating up Pitou was so satisfying for me

Not a single fotogram in the entirety of dragon ball Z made me feel the level of weight, worry and pain as Kilua's scream as Gon looks at him, and releases the equivalent of a lifetime of nen condensed into a single strike to vaporize Neferpitou.

Hunter x hunter is almost perfect anime Not just fight scenes are amazing but the overall story

What makes Hxh great is how unpredictable the story is. In most animes we can already anticipate who fights who and how the fight will end. It also doesn't follow the usual flow of an arc where the main protagonist defeats the main villain of that arc before going to the next one. Every arc is well thought off adding to that world wonderful world building.

What I love about the first fight is that they don't take their eyes off each other the whole fight. Every dodge, every punch, even when they were running around they kept their eyes on each other to see what the other would do and where they were. That was awesome to see again!

I keep rewatching Gon's and Hisoka's fight all over again. It's such an addicting fight lol

I love how the mangaka slowly builds the potential of Nen and hints at how Gon will use it in these fights. Seeing them laid out like this, you can see the connection building between self-sacrifice and Nen prowess as well as the extent Gon is willing to go to win. It starts with Kurapika’s fight against the Spiders and grows from there. From entering a loosing fight just to get one hit, to literally sacrificing his hands to win another fight, there is a greater increase in ability with a great sacrifice of his body.

Hisoka casually kicking a 1 tonne stone across the stadium never gets old 😂😂

20:19 No matter how much I re-watch HxH, all the emotion and feeling is the same. Especially when Gon's anger reach its peak at Pitou and another one is when Killua try to save Gon from using his nen in that transformation. This is trully a piece of Masterpiece that deserve as one of the greatest anime of all time in my list. I hope dark continent will get its animated series soon

Killua vs zammot was one of the most epic fight scenes in HXH

It's a shame most of the dialogue was cut out, the dialogue in between is what really make these fights extra special.

For a show that was remastered in 2011, this still looks better than alot of new shows fights.
