My style icon is definitely David Bowie! I'm inspired by the Odyssey of his style: the minimalist 60s with casual shirts and skinny ties, Ziggy Stardust from the late 60s, the Alexander McQueen Union Jack coat from the 80s. David Bowie was the first in pop culture to wear androgynous clothes, he brought a theatricality to rock music that no one else could replicate. Thanks Robin for the new format and new video! I'm enjoying!

Interestingly, but I think I know what that 21y girl at 8:10 might like. She should check McQueen sneakers. If you looking for something cheaper, maybe Lagerfeld sneakers on a high sole with Lagerfeld's Icon on them. I personally prefer Black and White colour combo.

I just realized who this guy looks like: The lead singer of the band "Fun."

Yeah this M&F combo worked well. Fashion is def blurring in terms of gender etc and the LA couple showcased that effortlessly, didn’t feel contrived at all. I also like how you included all the people in head to toe ASOS and Zara felt more realistic than a lot of channels, who evidently cherry pick the labels gang. That’s not what most people will be wearing on the street and it’s so obvious. Surprised at how little street wear and designer labels tbh for Oxford St, Piccadilly/Cov G etc. Ever thought of doing one of these vids in Hoxton/Shoreditch, could be interesting? Also why did the musical producer, Tegan not tell us who he was wearing when he repeatedly stressed how important style was to him?

It’s not that rare a look for London tbh and in LA prob more the norm... Even Shoreditch or Brighton you would see looks like this it’s not unusual. Cropped tops in men’s fashion are a trend of 2023 and tank tops etc spec in US are v popular. Oversize men’s shirts on women are still popular too afaik. I’m not a fan of their looks but it wasn’t extreme like some and style is all about confidence and owning your look, they def did.

Styles are very unisex so you were smart to include women! Women have been watching and copying men’s style for ages and now men are getting ideas from women’s styles.

My (current) style icons are: Johnny Depp, Billie Eilish, Cole & Dylan Sprouse, Harry Styles, Kurt Cobain, Daniel Simmons & Tim Dessaint

Well in the 50s and 60s ,most of these looks would look rather funny and definitely pass as "homeless". But times have changed and fashion unfortunately too.
