Hey Barron, thanks for the excellent video. I had accidentally bought a Japanese version of this sort of tripod that 'functioned' but not nearly as flexible and stable as this one. I wanted to see a review before buying the Pocket Tripod Pro, and this was what I needed to see. Btw, some of your other videos look like they might be useful for me as well. Glad to have come across your work. Cheers.

Thanks for watching man! Sorry to hear you bought a non-authentic version. Amazon used to carry them, but I think the Pocket Tripod Pro company doesn't sell them there anymore. I updated the link to point to the brand's storefront

where can I find the white one its not on the site. I have the white 13 pro so Im looking for this one in particular. I emailed them so wondering if you know or if this was a special edition

Just got one of these and its awesome! I do think plastic is better because metal can bend out of shape but this won't.

does the tilt, lock though? won't the phone just fall off anytime then if the tilt angle feature doesn't lock like the nite ize one.

there's tension throughout the tilt angles. so it's easy to adjust but holds in place

We like this little stand, we also have the nite ize similar one. Great to have on your person. It is always nice to be able to not actually hold your phone whilst travelling as you say. Thanks for sharing. If you are interested in EDC in general, you may be interested in checking us out on all the social media platforms. Even with the biggest "hinge" (12.5 mm), the 'hinges' aren't able to grab my Samsung S-8 Active with my Pelican case on it. To use this I'll need to remove my Pelican case (not easy!) so we'll see how much I use the Pocket Tripod Pro. It's a well-engineered device, but if you have your phone in a thick case as I do, be aware of this!

i think your phone / case combo is an outlier, in terms of width

It's a decent product for what it is but the name is kinda misleading. When I read/heard tripod, I was thinking photography. But this thing is meant more for viewing purposes.

You can use it as a tripod for selfies / group shots you’re in / time lapses etc., plus when on FaceTime video calls. I mention this in the video. I’d say that qualifies as tripod

@@EffortlessGentTV yes I think it is possible. But I guess we can't expect it to be very effective? After all, this is just a handy thing to quickly improve certain situations.
