@Kolo I REALLY hope One Piece doesn't turn into a meme by making Buggy the King of The Pirates. It will ruin the story. And its not even funny. I never liked Hercules as a character. Never found him or anything around him funny. I am HOPING Oda doesn't ruin One Piece by going down that route. It would be the worst ending ever. IMO there doesn't even need to be a pirate king, because thematically Luffy should be ending the pirate era. But Buggy for PK? Gtfo. Thats not funny or even mildy entertaining.

Alvida’s Smooth-Smooth fruit, like a lot of Devil’s Fruits, is based around a Japanese pun; “smooth” also means “sexy”, which is why her fruit had the…extra effect on her besides making her literally frictionless.

hanging out with shanks a lot as a kid probably gave luffy his very unique emotional intelligence if im not mistaken, shanks and luffy are the only characters among 1000+ that has that kind of characterization to them, major bias to luffy since we see him a lot compared to shanks who only appeared on rare occasions

The guy in the green cape did show up in the live action show btw. If you look carefully during the execution scene at the beginning of the show, in the crowd, you will find him.

oda once stated that buggy is his second favorite character in one piece. Luffy being his favorite of course. maybe thats why theyre similar in a sense

Buggy is also similar to Usopp.

In the original manga, the panels are not coloured, so we didn't get to see any difference in the "Strong gusts of wind" and had to wonder if the Devil Fruit Gardener caused it. But anime colouring does indeed make it clear that the winds aren't natural .. so we can only assume that it was the Devil Fruit Gardner

Loguetown is such an underated arc, the longer you know about the story of one piece the better it gets to rewatch it.

“No man alive can touch her. Nami will have to defeat alvida” 😂 This is one piece theory crafting 101, to perfection lol

I really forgot how impactful these episodes were back in the day. Seeing so many Devil Fruit users in one place, the mysterious storm, the execution, seeing Dragon, and the barrel scene. For the East Blue saga, this is truly one of the best episodes.

The smile scene and Smoker's face are the reasons why Loguetown is my favourite arc in all of One Piece

15:24 Luffy is around 17 at the moment. Maybe closer to 18. He’s still a minor in our societal standards. Alvita has no idea of that though. To her, he’s just the man who bested her.

I always tell people Namis arc is where I was hooked, but if you make it to logue town, there is almost no chance you stop from there. There are so many moments that set the stage for the rest of story, and its eye opening every time you rewatch it. such a great ending to the romance dawn arc as a whole.

@outright4697 at the end of the day, if it's filler you are alright to skip. One thing to note, is oda is really good at putting subtle nods to past chapters and episodes. So if you like to connect dots or just a potentially goofy story then I recommend watch them. But fine to skip if it's labeled filler.

@@ThisisKyle, No. They're not the same thing. The prologue always comes before chapter 1. The East Blue saga is One Piece's prologue. Chapter 1 is the Alabasta saga.

Dragon's entry has to be one of THE MOST sick and memorable moments from this show. Goosebumps everytime. Especially when he enters in the storm, while quoting Roger's final words

1000 episodes later and the scenes depicted at Logue town are still so relevent. Oda is such a master at forshadowing.

I have watched a lot of reactions for One Piece in the last 5-6 years and I truly believe yours are one of the best. Hopefully you never catch a whiff of any spoilers moving forward.

I think your theory that Smoker wants to make sure pirates are worthy, while incorrect, makes sense considering how the anime frames this. The manga version is much shorter and makes it very clear that Smoker is just concerned with stopping pirates and has little to no other "hidden" motivation but the anime (or at least the translation of the anime) gives Smoker a few weird sentences that makes it sound like he's testing pirates rather than stopping all of them.

At this point, Luffy is 17. And, yes. Although he is not interested, Luffy does seem to attract the attention of some older women.

If ykyk Dude's Rizz is immaculate 😭 Dude just exists and people around him are charmed by him, even the men are not safe 😅, smoker in alabasta, Fujitora, Bellamy In Dressrosa, etc . Yeah, they wanted to end the live action's first season with the cast-off ceremony. It makes way more sense for them to do it after Logue Town, but it's fine. And don't worry about Dragon. He's just a guy. Nobody you need to think about for now... His actual name is Dragon, btw. It's just his name.

I noticed you ask why Luffy doesn’t just stretch out of the stocks, and this highlights an important aspect of his power. The Gum-Gum Fruit gives the users body the properties of rubber, including both elasticity and electrical resistance, as portrayed in Luffy surviving the lighting strike. In order to stretch, Luffy has to put in some amount of force, as in him shooting his arm back for a Gum-Gum Pistol before launching him forward. He cannot just will his body to stretch like Mr Fantastic, he needs to exert force on the rubber to stretch it.

I think its also to highlight how inexperienced Luffy was despite his strengths. This is him in episode 53. A much later Luffy would have figured out a way to escape. He got saved twice this episode. Almost got clowned and almost got smoked.

It's more that the anime messed the stocks up. In the manga the "stocks" don't have a hole, Luffy's neck is crushed flat and there is no space for him to get out. Actual stocks are something he does escape later (W7).

Hahaha, my favorite character was there in the crowd during 52 but it takes almost a thousand episodes for him to show up. Pretty sure Your theory on Smoker testing Pirates was correct because you shouldn't waste your time in the Grandline if you can't handle Smoker's power. Also, "Devil Fruit Gardner" is the best fan theory I've ever heard.
