    Solid endlinks for me are a must have. And not only didthey make it solid but also with quick reliese solid endlinks.

    This is the only video comparing the 40 and 36 side by side at the moment. Great video and keep them coming. I do have a question though. You thought the 36 was feminine on your 6.5 inch wrist? I thought it looked right at home.

    I almost always find watches with 18mm lugs to look feminine on my wrist. It’s just a personal preference. On top of that this is a dive watch so the dial is noticeably smaller than my other 36mm field or dress watches.

    There aren’t many 36mm watch options out there unfortunately so I’m always happy to see a 36mm watch.

    I would have loved this in 38mm, I bought the 36mm and it's a good fit for my wrist but I think the 38mm would have been the sweet spot

    Every quartz Tissot I've seen or owned misses the markers. My Citizen, Seiko, Casio, and Tag Heuer watches are all spot on. For a Swiss watch to be missing them is unacceptable when a $50 Casio Duro hits them spot on.

    Whilst I doubt anyone would take a Tissot on a dive, they missed the mark by not putting a luminous pip on the insert. I'd say the price is fair if you really had to have it, and I'm sure they go for less on the gray market. But a consumer can get a better watch from micro brands and the far east.

    40mm looked better on wrist

  • @Long-nd8bq
    @Long-nd8bq4 ай бұрын

    The 40mm dial looks way bigger due to the small indices and the TISSOT text being too far north. The 36mm dial looks better. The 40mm bezel looks small but that may be because the dial throws the look off. Honestly, I know it's trying to be different than a submariner homage, but the bezel design is a copy, they may have well just put the date window at 3 o'clock and proportioned the text and indices better. I really wanted to like the 40mm, but I just can't. The 36mm looks good but it's too small for my wrist and would be a woman's watch by today's standards. No lume pip on the bezel and no lumed marker below the date window, plus the lume performance on Tissot is terrible. I also don't like how the bezel looks dark at certain angles. They should have used engraved ceramic. For the price I think it misses on too many points regardless if it's "Swiss Made". I expected more from Tissot.

    With those tiny, thin hands, no one is going to use either of these for actual diving, so the bezel action is pretty irrelevant. In fact the whole bezel is unnecessary. Very pretty sports/dress watches though.

    To preface, like anything, this is subjective: That said, to me, the Tissot Seastar has to be one of the least compelling divers in existence. It irks me when people prop it up due to it being a Tissot and Swiss. It's a crutch.

    @@noah-j00 For a smaller diver, I can only recommend the Seiko SKX013, SNE Solar Divers or the Alba AEFD530. AE might have some options such as Escapement Time 39mm Quartz diver. At 36mm I can only think of this Seastar and Glycine Combat 36mm and the new 36.5mm Citizen Promaster. Does it have to be a dive watch for you?
