I know that in Supreme Court transcripts, the reporter sometimes writes "Laughter" or "General laughter" in parentheses. Take a look at page 20 of this one: www.supremecourt.gov/pdfs/transcripts/1987/86-1278_12-02-1987.pdf

Let me translate this comedy show for everyone. The Doctor fucked something up so royally, that both sides know he is going to lose. It's a civil claim so it isn't like the Doctor is in fear of losing his license. All both sides have to do now is settle with his malpractice insurance, which is probably represented by one of the lawyers sitting in the room. Then the lawyers take their cut and convince the patient that it's a good deal.

Unprofessional? Perhaps. But it never hurts to try to break the ice with a good joke. Depositions are stressful environments. Even the deposing attorney wants the deponent to feel comfortable (Even better when the deponent believes the deposing attorney is on their side). If that means a little more money for merely seconds worth of seemingly unnecessary talk, then so be it. I filed complaints against a couple of youtube videos that were deceptive in thumbnail and description and content. Wish there was more than than thumb up for hitting the trifecta of exceeding expectations. One of the best "selected short subjects" I've ever seen here.
This is the weirdest yet at a deposition, lol.
The Dr looks high as a kite . His pupils are HUGE!
What's the difference between an incompetent and an incompetent in a suit? What's the difference between a good attorney and a good attorney in a T-shirt?
If the lawyer was charging $500 an hour, he made $8.50 for that joke. Imagine being paid $7 to $ 8 a minute,.and playing around. Sweet!!
Looks like he just got out of the pool
Lawyers... gotta give it to em... one way or another. :P
LMAO... Never been to a depo, so he is a virgin to it. VERY FUNNY!!!
He sent it.
OK, THAT was funny !
Depositions never happen in a courtroom or before a judge.
Dads everywhere are celebrating this cultural accomplishment
0:27 Holy shit I thought that was Howard Hamlin for half a second.

This is how you benchpress life
Practice makes perfect!
Hes like are they serious or is this a trap?
the good DR does not look happy about this
Dr Watson takes extra long to crack a smile
I would walk, have the deposition in front of the judge.
Rare deposition interaction
I film a lot of depos in East Texas where I live and it's not too uncommon to see some lawyers wear jeans and a polo. East Texas is known for its small communities so in some cases it's pretty casual.
