The guys I've seen give Harden the most trouble like Jrue Holiday and Danny Green usually never let Harden start dribbling and lulling them to sleep, there always on him tightly and force him to drive rather than be a shooter.

Been watching Jrue Holiday when he was on Philly, and noticed how good he was when he came to New Orleans...differently underrated as a defender...the league celebrates offense too much.

What Jrue did at 4:04 is exactly what you want to do to Harden. Force him to drive right, don’t let him get to the step-back, don’t let him beat you and turn back to finish clear with his left. Also, notice how when he was picked off he's so ready to strip Harden whenever he exposes the ball, particularly on Eurosteps. Dortz is Jrue Jr.

i noticed he stopped harden's pickups very well especially the low pickup; definitely watched a lot of film while simplifying his game as much as possible forcing him to drive every time.

he "locks" Harden on a few plays but Harden also gets the better of him more often than not. Most of these plays are Harden getting double or even triple teamed. reality is Jrue played the best 1 on 1 defense on Harden I've seen, but Harden still gets by him and knocks down shots in his face 1 on 1.
