Found your channel because it's the only one with a good perfex video. I fell in love with this crm it is extremely powerful and fulfills all my needs. Would you be able to post more how to videos for perfex or would you recommend me another crm very similar that has more tutorials and documentation. Thank you!

Thank you KayCinho for taking time to do the video. Unfortunately, it would appear that just like you, I had hyped Perfex to others and didn't even bother checking if something as basic as sending email reminders out to clients before the renewal due dates was a feature or not. I'm really disappointed to learn that it does not. I'm now on the lookout for a better and more intelligent CRM script. :(

OMG! How did I not see this for more than 2 years!!! I have been looking for something like this. I tried Dubsado, Honeybook, and currently use a self-hosted Invoice Ninja. I have been happy with Invoice Ninja but it's missing the crucial things like proposals, project management, and CRM. I really hope this project will be continually development once I implement it. I can't lie but I was a little skeptical about it's capabilities when I first saw that it was hosted on ThemeForrest. After watching your training I think this will be my first project next week. Hey Kay. Thanks for this video. It's really well done and you clearly know the app you are presenting. I'm normally a bit sceptical about affiliate promotions, but having done my research for a low-cost solution - this really does appear the best. I will be self-hosting on Windows IIS - so a little more research to be done, but if I do decide on this - I will use your link. Thanks for your work on this.

hello! this is a very informative video. Would you still use Perfex in 2023 or have you found a better alternative?

I bought Perfex CRM about three years ago and have been customising the code ever since. We've added purchase orders, different types of contracts (ie. ways our customers pay for our labour) and labour reports, among other things. It's a great product. For anyone wanting to buy a CRM they can customise themselves it's a good choice. The code is relatively easy to work with. For anyone wanting something simple to set up you're probably better off using a cloud product (there are lots, like Zoho CRM). Perfex requires you buy some web hosting and install it there yourself. If you're not technical allow an hour or so from your IT person to set it up.

Well said. Indeed, it requires some technical skills (mainly setting up a mysql database and creating a database user). And if you are using a langugage different than english, be prepared to translate the emails. For the interface, it is already translated in a few languages. But if you just want plug and play there are indeed more suitable options out there. Now, the pricing is hard to beat :)

How do you stop support tickets from being publicly viewable? I have considered going into the code and adding the login checking to the page but was hoping there was a setting I was missing.

Well done! After I watch your video, I like your templates and there is no way that I can find your kind of sample templates in your resources page. Do you purchase that templates (proposals, etc.) from 3rd party? Please let me know where I can get. Thanks.

Great video Kay! I have subscribed. I must say the demo has been structured with some good inputs so I was able to see some insights of how the tool must be used from this video. Thank you so much! One think that caught my eye was the link on top bar "Customer area" (Demo Link) that allowed you to view as customer at 20:35, how did you do that? Custom CSS? :D

Thanks for the sub! I believe this is only available from the demo. The workaround, on your own install, is to create a fake client, then you create a fake project, and login as the fake client to see how to client sees things.

Just if someone wants to implement the same - use the following link syntax /admin/clients/login_as_client/ For eg; Perfex used: perfexcrm.com/demo/admin/clients/login_as_client/1 (you must be logged in as admin) Yes, they've created a fake client (Shields-Hilll) account as you said, I verified under "Customers" section. To include the link (list item - "Customer area"), you'll need to edit the "header.php" file. You can locate that using your hosting File Manager>Open Perfex installed directory and navigate to application>views>admin>includes folder. Just add a at the right spot with an and href pointing to your corresponding customer id.

My experience so far with Perfex : works very well / support is quick and efficient / pricing is just amazing for the value you get

There may be indeed. That being said, the only time I had to deal with support they were just great. And most of the time, I just go through their very detailed documentation :)

Hi, I could not see the complete proposal document. It is same like estimation and invoice. Can you please help me sort out this.

i got this but im really bummed out to find that theres no way to send email to leads / contacts through the CRM (just general email, possibly have templates saved as well). this is reallly important in the sales process.

Thanks for watching! I unfortunately don't know the answer to these questions as I don't use the recurring features. Have you tried asking in the comments section of the plugin on Codecanyon? Usually their reply and are even open to add new features when it's missing :)

@kayclinho, Hi, great video. have a question. Hows about a video that shows how to use PERFEX from the very beginning after installation. Starting from after the very fist login to inputting business details, to creating first customer, to what ever comes next steps e.g. what comes next is it the Proposal or the Project or the Invoice, what needs to be accepted first by client, all in correct order making sure newbie Admins know whats needed step by step process?

Currently still a lifetime deal. You get 6 months support. After 6 months, if you need more support I believe it's about 25$ for 6 months support which is dirt cheap. In my case I only had to contact support once, and they were quick to respond. Also, their documentation is very well done :)

Sorry Mathew, I haven't used AmazonAWS in ages (and even then I only used it like once). I should, I know :p

It takes customer support many days to get back in contact with you and they're not very apt to helping you with customizations of the actual codeigniter and PHP code. I ended up having to just build something from scratch.

Ouch, I completely understand how frustrating this must be. I didn't really do any customization so my experience has been different. But I hear you!

Can I use one Perfex license for 3 different websites? One of them has 2 languages. Or should I buy a license for each?

You should get one license per website, since you will need a license to do updates. Now regarding the bilingual website, one license should be enough, since Perfex can be rendered in different languages per user preferences. You will just need to translate the notification emails, but the process is very straightforward.

There is one limitation. Say you are giving estimate to customer of 1000$ and customer accepted that estimate. Now customer wants to make the payment pf 300$ as advance 400$ in middle and remaining 300$ in end. There is no partial payment in single invoice available. That should be there. Which is very basic thing which needed to be implemented.

It's a pretty good CRM but is very inflexible in terms of 100% customization.

@@KayCinho I ended up having to develop something from scratch. It helped me learn how to develop and edit codeigniter and it's the best way to be sure you have only the functions you want and need. Perfex is really good but the customer service needs to be better and/or they need searchable forums so that people can help each other.

You can set SMS services like Twilio. Check the Perfex CRM documentation, as they update it quite often.

@@ghostwebrabbi7478 Tough to say without knowing your server environment. Did you log a ticket with Perfex support? That being said, the first thing that comes to my mind is: (1) did you check which role is assigned to your staff and (2) did you check the permissions for that role? Hope it helps.

I'm just a very satisfied Perfex customer, but don't hesitate to reach out to their support, I have found them to be quite effective.

Perfex is a great product for such a low price, lots of features. The problem is the support. It's a 1 man business, just 1 developer doing everything and it usually takes weeks and weeks of chasing to get replies from him. Sometimes you never get a reply.
